Why does the multiplayer have so many hurdles in the way of actually playing?

Drop the multiplayer/co-op requirement of 4 people, let us start with only 2 and let the other's drop in, if drop in/out co op is to complicated to add at this stage i understand, just make it offer the players a choice like, "start now with the 1 or 2 that have been matched with you or wait for the full amount but know if you go undermanned the instance is locked" as is its kind of sad that i want to play multiplayer but cant, and also why can't I just play co op with a friend? i have to wait for 2 more people who will never be found at our level. This is a really cool game that unfortunately includes some frankly insane design choices, were these difficulties not foreseen during the early stages of development? 1 step forward two steps back. really enjoy the game, all the best to the devs and i wish you the best, despite some of these issues its a 20/80 deal, 20% really really awful, 80% awesome and fun, somehow thought that 20% casts a long and painful shadow

@MARCOPOLOCS‍ , i guess he means the matchmaking do not starting for any players. i had same issue yesterday. i waited more than 10 min.

You can invite your friend into a party and then complete missions together.

The possibility to launch matchmaking with 2-3 persons seems a reasonable idea. It was already brought up in the past but I will discuss it with our devs now.
