First of all, I am well aware this is early alpha and following is my thought on the current state. I am sure it will all get better though and I really enjoy the game and look forward to its future development!

1) The default controls are very unintuitive and clumsy. I dont understand why primary attack is binded to same key as moving.

2) The optimalization is really bad (early alpha, I know) With 2gb graphic cards I am seeing like 10-20 FPS on lowest settings... I am sure this will improve though!

3) The huge ammount of enemies and combat as it is doesnt fit the ''lore''... I mean sure inquisitors are badasses but I dont believe that single inquisitor could kill one, not to say half a dozen of Chaos Space Marines in hand-to-hand combat. I believe that more lore friendly and gameplay wise enjoyable would be to have MUCH fewer enemies but with higher HP to acutaly make the combat less Diablo-ish and more tactical and rewarding. I really dont enjoy killing hordes of enemies with single blows. I really hope this is as it is just for the sake of testing and will be changed upon release.

Yes these concerns are the same as mine, I would wholeheartedly suggest that they change the controls to if not a twin stick shooter but then to something very similar.

Not necessarily shooter, but similar to Neverwinter would be awesome! Also as someone posted befor, the option that the camera sticks in 3rd person view ("behind and above" or even "over-the-shoulder") would be a great addition (if someone doesn't want this).

1) Considering that this is an ARPG, that's just how these things work. Change that and you essentially get a different kind of game.

2) Agreed. Performance could be better, but since this is an early Alpha, further optimization is a given.

3) Again: this is an ARPG. Killing hordes of enemies is what these games are about. And this game already is more tactical than most. And when it gets to the lore, let's be frank here: 40k as a whole isn't very coherent when it comes to lore. Contradictions and retcons abound. What is and isn't possible often depends on who is writing the current material. Therefore, bending the lore a little for the sake of more exciting gameplay is perfectly acceptable as long as they don't go completely off the rails. And besides: Ciaphas Cain killed Chaos-Marines in hand-to-hand combat armed with nothing but an old chainsword. If he can do it, an Inquisitor in Power-Armor wielding a Thunderhammer should be able to pull it off aswell.

Exactly!

Okay, that we can agree on. I also think that the marine enemies should be handled sparsely, one at most in a room, leading a bunch of cultists. They, just like the dreadnoughts, should make you go "Oh snap, shit's getting real!" when you see them.

But even grimdark Blackadder (Cain) is still a human. CSM are übermen made for killing with centuries of combat experience. No regular man should fight more than one at a time and life to tell the tale.

Primary attack bound to movement is pretty standard fare for ARPG.

Can't think of one where this isn't the case.

I can imagine getting used to that eventualy.

"1) The default controls are very unintuitive and clumsy. I dont understand why primary attack is binded to same key as moving."

I can't really agree with you, because it reminds me of Diablo 3 which is one of the easiest controls I found up to now.

Agreed, but I don't think this will happen.

QFT, I also think that the controls needs to made better. As you posted, attacks and moving should be completly seperated.

Also I just tested sword (main) and bolter (offhand) ... now I wished that we can set up our mousebuttons too =/
