I have the same trouble but when I did a coop mission didn't freeze for a whole mission. Only thing that happened was after the mission was finished and I was playing around in the store that the game crashed, and I couldn't play at all cause it kept crashing at launch. So right now I'm doing a uninstall and reinstall see if that changes anything.
