Console co op

8

Ok so I’m very new to this site and I’m really excited about the upcoming W40k IM title.

Watched a load of vids of what I can find for the Console version (As I will be buying it on PS4)

Just have one big question though, how is the co op going to work? I know that the campaign isn’t co op but you can join up with your friends and travel the universe etc killing stuff gaining loot etc what I really want to know and I hope this doesn’t seem like a stupid question but is it going to be me joining up online  with my character and say my friend and his character in a lobby effect or is it only one of us being our character and the other being a guest account and only building up the host character?

Any answers small or long would be really appreciated.

Also hats off to the Devs so many warhammer games out there but this so far is exactly the type of 40k game me and my friends have been waiting for.

Well that is unfortunate. My brother-in-law and I were looking forward to playing together on my console, but I doubt he will want to play a character who cannot progress as normal.

Online it is!

It's actually kind if nice as you can either play online with your own character or play local with something completely new. If you can pick your class then this might be a effective way to try out new builds without having to level them up.

You will be able to play coop online with your friends, up to 4 players. But we also have a local, couch coop feature (up to two players). In this situation your friend will have a generated character which will be nearly as strong as your character - so your friend will be able to play on your level.

Will there be combo coop with 2 local and 2 online?

The way I read it CLS was online with 4 friends play as your own characters, couch co op you and a random that’s close to your level, in the scenario you have a friend round and your bored etc he may not own an Xbox/PS4 he can jump on and game with you I guess lol

So even if they are logged into their own profile, for instance on my XB1, they still won't have a character that they can save and continue to build? Or am I misinterpreting this?

I appreciate that Morzan, however think I might now bend to the PC version as I literally can’t wait another month to play it lol.
