- Inquisitor - Martyr New Console Release Date
Inquisitors!
We have a new release date for the console editions of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr. The new date for PS4 and Xbox One is
August 23, 2018.
First of all, sorry for not confirming this earlier, but this decision involves multiple parties and complex problems that needed to be sorted out first. The reasons for the delay are a bit easier to explain:
- Finding a solution for access restrictions in certain countries where networks are subjected to stricter surveillance
- More work on online functionalities in the persistent world, and general polish
We're working hard on making the game properly functional and polished on both consoles, in all countries. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and please know that we're really eager to see Inquisitor - Martyr becoming the multiplatform title it is meant to be. It takes work, but it will be worth it.
Chaos never sleeps, but still, you know... the Emperor protects. See you soon in the Caligari Sector!

So what excuse will you be using on the 21st of August for the game being delayed... AGAIN
Where is the proof of this game... i call you out Neocore... show us the Proof of the game then we may be inclined to listen to you.
Game UK Still says 31/12/18...
Something smells fishy... and it int my Tuna Butties
I am gonna cancel my preorder. I have a feeling that the console release is gonna have some sort of issues with everything going on. If the game is fine i may pick it up when it's on sale but i am not paying full price after all this lack of respect for us.
Generally, if you see a date on a different retailer's page, never assume it's correct. Many retailers use placeholder dates if they're unsure about a date. NeocoreGames is the developer of the game and Bigben is the console publisher. Any information not coming directly from us, is always less reliable.
Yes they knew well before today, but just could not be bothered to tell us.
That Press Release must have taken all of 4 minutes to type up.
Oh yes because with all the delays (what's this the 3'rd / 4th) and your practise of giving us all nice early communication You are the very model of reliability....
There are lots of things to work out regarding physical game Boxes here. So much MESS has been made back and forth. And this game was actually meant to be released simultaneously on ALL versions.
In my case I have this game already and playing it for full like it already is, so in that way I don´t care THAT much, but I feel for the people who actually wants to have it on Console, and it has been so much a frustration and whatnot about all this.
And besides, I have actually been thinking about getting it on Console myself. Not VERY likely, but it has strafed me as a possiblity.
The lack of professionalism is another story. Another deadline move? This is not how you retain/gain fans. First a month, now 2. Both right before scheduled launches. Shame. All the excitement for this is now gone for me and I will not be paying any attention to it. The least you could do is release a functioning "beta" for console to give us a glimmer of hope.
Apparently they can't do it.
Probably a bit like they can't provide any kind of proof the game on console format actually exists,
Too little too late
I really hope the console version is as great as many of us want it to be but now you are going to have to prove it to us. Better hope you brought your 'AAA' game since you are asking us to pay full price. Hopefully we will find out at the end of August this time.
Firstly i've got to say i'm really disappointed, as i (and i'm sure a lot of other people) was really looking forward to finally playing the game.
I must also say that despite what Neocore alluded to in their statement, their (and as the developers, the buck must really stop with them) handling of the situation has been terrible.
That all being said, i still want to play the game so i'm trying to see the benefits the delay will offer and hoping with the additional time this delay allows, we should get a much better release than the PC community. However i would like to point out, Neocore, your behavior isn't really encouraging a good community atmosphere and instead is creating a lot of toxicity. For a game that's looking to make ongoing and long term content releases, this doesn't bode well and needs to change.
A good step towards improving this situation, would be to address what content the console players will have access upon release. With the PC already having the first event and the first warzone scheduled to drop shortly, i for one would like to know, when the game does arrive, will we have access to the same level of content?
Two delays back to back. Two delays not announced by the dev until days before scheduled release.
You're either shady, or incompetent, or both. Either way, I'm out. And regardless of what the obligatory fan boy might post, you're going to see a BIG chunk of potential console customers who feel the same way.
I can't wait to hear what August's lie will be
Don't post redundant, empty, or nonsensical posts. Please use @mention if you would like to reply to more than one comment. - Morzan
This is going the route of Space Hulk: Deathwing with never ending delays. Now I am just waiting for the announcement that says it is not coming out on Xbox.
Ohhhh i'm sorry i thought free speech was a democratic right for all... I must be wrong.
Just simply use @mention like this: @URIEL1884 if you would like to reply to more than one comment. :)
Hummm i know what you mean...
Strange Brigade is out a few days after the 23rd, and that looks really good, then there is the New Tomb Raider, then Fallout76
Actually thinking about it... A December release slot would quite suite me
Tide me over till Anthem in February...
Wouldnt there be Red Dead 2 or Fallout 76, December could have been a appropriate month. But with such big Games the next time i will definitely prefer them over Inquisitor. Sad but true ^^
The best way of treating potential playerbase - deleating their comments. Looks like there is a community manager who reads posts. Well, how silent he was last 2 weeks;)
P.S. You guys dont like Vermintide 2 or what
Your comment was deleted because advertisement is not allowed here and the other ones (which have been deleted) violated the rules too (TL;DR: ranting / flaming).

As I know, bigben is the publisher and reliable for the console releases, press releases and other kind of communications first of all as you can see here and on facebook, etc., so if they was too late with this announcement, well if you ask me, yeah, that was not the best practice, but it's their own field.
Anyway, if you like to ask somebody from the Community Management team, just use the mention system (use @ and then directly the wanted nickname, it looks like this: @MORZAN ) or write us through the "Support" system.
Thanks for the reply. Its hard to work with restrictions of non-disclosure agreement, i know. Thats mean that any information about console versions(videos, screens, dedicated platform port features) is also in the hands of BigBen. Sad(
As you guys know, we are working closely together with GW and BigBen (our console publisher). Regarding communication, we had to wait until they could confirm that GW had approved the release date. Until then we couldn't confirm anything. That's why we said that you should ask BigBen, because they've got the latest information about the console versions.
But don't worry, the console versions are shaping up nicely, we will have a livestream soon where we can show it to you finally. We will also have a dev interview with the console team.

Since you have to go through certifications to be approved for manufacturing discs you would have known things aren't finished. That's not days before the old date. A patch takes two weeks on psn through certification. Your team and bigben knew this and had plenty of time to tell us but chose to at 3 days before the expecting date.
Either way i wish you well even though i am not gonna be a likely customer at this point.

You can easily find PS4 Game play if you look....https://www.gamespot.com/videos/warhammer-40000-inquisitor-martyr-ps4-pro-gameplay/2300-6443517/
