When does the damage get converted?

The blood focus passive trait turns damage into warp damage type. Some psalm codes change damage to warp type too. When does the damage get converted? Before or after the weapon enchants, passive abilities, and other effects that enhance the damage type?

It could be a significant damage change and could reduce damage output.
