W40k: Inquisitor - Martyr

Offline Mode Coming to Consoles

13

Happy New Year, Inquisitors!

We are happy to announce that the "Offline Mode" update for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is coming to consoles next Monday, on January 12, 2026, and maintenance will start at 13:00 CET. Take a break then, and once it's over, restart and update the game.

This overhaul patch brings some minor bugfixes and two major changes to the game:

1. Offline mode will be added to the game's main menu. From that point on, you can select either online mode or offline mode for your playthrough. With the latter, the game will be playable even if the console is set offline, and you will be able to play the entire game from start to finish, with all your purchased content without ever connecting to the internet or creating a NeocoreGames Account (well, after you downloaded the update). Be aware that all online features will be disabled in this mode. If you want to play online multiplayer or join a cabal, you should continue using online mode.

2. Online mode will transition from dedicated servers to a peer-to-peer model. This will not affect your current game progression, and this change will ensure the longevity of multiplayer.

This update is coming to all console platforms and regions: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X.

A note on progression, character and achievements

Offline mode and online mode are implemented as two separate modes, they are not interchangeable. You will not be able to bring over your progress from one mode to the other, so keep this in mind if you're just starting out or want to transition to offline. You will not lose your online character if you start a new offline mode, however, you cannot continue your journey offline with your online character and vice versa.

Not all external achievements/trophies are available in offline mode, specifically those related to multiplayer and cabals. Progression of some countable achievements might not add up correctly if you switch between offline and online characters. If you have started progressing with any countable achievement condition in online mode, for now we suggest to finish it in online mode to be safe from unwanted resets or miscalculations. Otherwise, achievements not related to online modes should trigger in offline mode as well.

Thank you for your patience, we hope that you will enjoy this update and the game for many more years to come! Once you start playing after the update, feel free to share your feedback!

If you think you can simply play dead like you always do, I am not sure if this is going to work this time.

I am really tired of waiting, so once and for all, can you tell us what the plan regarding the constant crash issue on PS4 ? Because the release of this completely useless update for PS4 users leave me baffled at best...

I was really happy when i see the update today, a little worried when i read the patch note and i see the main issue was not even mention and beyond disappointed when during the second mission my game start crashing randomly like before...

Seriously this is unbelievable, do you still work on the issue ? The game is unplayable and i grew exhausted of waiting for your good will.

It is 100% global someone else has reported the same issue on PS4 on another post and a friend of mine has also the same issue and like i said i have this crash issue only with martyr.

I know the ps4 is probably not the most popular platform for the game, but i am tired of not being able to play a game i like a lot and i have paid full price...so please fix the issue.

Thank you for all your information! We are still gathering info from as many players as possible, to see whether this issue is a global one that we are hopefully able to fix!

English is not my native language, but i will try my best to explain what i did and what happen with the game.

The game only crash during missions or when i am in my inventory  and it seem only after i have play something like 20mins, also the game  seem to crash more often when a character start to talk  but don't quote me on that in the end  the crash seem random to me.

I have reinstalled the game 48 hours ago i have delete the game a year ago, and i have start to play  with my online characters for something like 2  hours and the game didn't crash or maybe one time only.

I  have reinstall the game, rebuild database, reinstall the last update for the ps4 in safe mode , nothing work... also i  play  and i have a lot of games and they work perfectly i have this issue only with martyr.

I have  probably near 600 hours into the game ,  i like it a lot  so i hope you are going to fix the problem.

Really it does? At which point of starting up the game? Are you able to play for a while before it crashes? Or can you not even load into the main menu and it will crash? In either case, I suggest you re-install the game first and foremost, let me know if that does anything to help!
