hi i have all the van helsing games on steam but i cannot play any of them. i click on it to play and it goes black screen, then comes up with a box "There has been a problem and van helsing trilogy has encountered a problem and cannot play" then screen goes grey.

I have tried all the different things suggested on various sites but nothing works. 

What am I supposed to do??
