Unexpected Error
Warhammer 40K Bug ReportSo after the patch, I loaded up the game and again it said I had to create an online account to play. So I typed in a name again and got a message: "Unexpected Error" and I had to type the name in again. It popped up again and again again and again. So I typed a name in and clicked on play. Once I was on my bridge the message came up one more time. Went to the star map and choose a mission and then I got "Server refused the connection" and I was loaded back onto the bridge.
No before the patch the game would crash left and right, but I would get into missions even I never finished once before of crashes. But now I can't even get into a mission at all. So now I don't know what to do can't play.

Sorry for the 2 deleted posts, forum was acting up.
Tried the workarounds, and nothing. Cannot create a character, the Unexpected Error continually pops up.
The two workarounds some comments below don´t work. :(
I'm in the same predicament. Just downloaded it so I could play during my lunch break, but no dice. I'm hoping they will have a fix for this today. It looks phenomenal.
Just bought the game and can't do any mission because of this error. None of two workarounds (login parameters and registry) works :-(
I have the same problem. It´s not possible to start any mission because of this error.
Same problem here, and as far no working solution. :(
Hopefully devs will fix it quickly :/

I've tried also this
If you can't log in, do this:
- Exit the game
- Hit Win+R
- Type in regedit and hit Enter
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/NeocoreGames/Warhammer
- Delete everything there
- Restart the game
but it does not work.
Let's hope somebody from the dev team notices this.
If you are forced to create a new account even though you have one:
- If you are asked to create a new account upon starting the game, close and exit.
- Open up the properties dialogue for Martyr, and enter the following as a launch option: -login %u %p (where %u is your steam username and %p is your password).
- Start up the game again, then when the account creation popup appears, type in your account name (as it appears in the Martyr Forums) and click create.
- You will retain your characters but it seems that your currency defaults back to 1000 credits and 50 fate.
I tried this with my forum name OculusObscuritas but it says my account name is too long :-/.
Same problem. When i start the game it keeps telling me to create an online account (i had done one, and my character is right there where I left it). When I insert a name, I get the "unespected error". No matter what I do, it keeps asking for the account creation and the unexpected error. Then, when i select the mission, I got the same "Server refused the connection" error.
Never had a problem before the last patch.
Just biught the game today, and I keep getting this error.
Restarting the game as well as using a unique name didn't work.
Any workaround?
Set this current order state as My default.
