Adding mini-campaigns with extra rewards is a great way to keep the game alive. (Yep im refering to new Global Event)

With this system i can see meyself returning to the game every now and then. Much better than just having "tasks" to complete on random missions.

Hope this turns on a new way to go and see more like these on the future.

Great job Neocore. Im so happy on how this game (even if bugged as hell back then, specially multiplayer) has been supported, adressed, fixed, rebalanced and vastly improved on everyway, while also growing in content.

Just wanted to make a mark about this on forums.

Thanks for the kind words. Contrary to the ever-existing rumours that we might shut down the servers overnight, our team still has a lot of stuff to do in Inquisitor so you can definitely expect further fixes, balance changes, features and ..?

I don't want to spoil things but the upcoming weeks will be quite interesting. Follow us to get some exciting news shortly!:)

Indeed. The story of this event is quite interesting. And it's always exciting to see the game improving.

Still, I feel the reward for these events could be greatly improved LOL. Void shards & favor is no longer in need for old gamers. May be some packs of gold sparks/tarots/loot quality consumables are more attractable.

Since this event takes at least 3 rounds (~25 missions, usually 4-5 rounds and 30-40 missions) to finish, it is fair for the players to expect something similar to what could be gained if these play time was spent in Void Crusades or seasonal pirate missions.

Indeed. The timing is also good - in the middle of the season, to freshen up our inquisitorial duties.

I would just make two suggestions:

  • Please add mission difficulty menu to this kind of events. Currently, only the epilogue mission can be scaled up (via tarots), while all the rest are set to +1 to +4 difficulty levels. I would have preferred to run them at +10 or more to have more tech fragments out of the missions.
  • I don't have a 100% completion yet (1 clue is still missing), but it would be good to have all the possible playthroughs build towards something. Not just filling in missing clues and ticking the event summary boxes, but leading to new revelations (perhaps delivered via pict feeds) and then when all is brought to light have the event spawn a special mission. Sort of like the epilogue mission, but on a grander scale. Or keep adding more and more special mobs and bosses in each mission as we progress with our investigation - once we uncover all clues and meet all event requirements, there could be a mission with nothing but boss enemies.

I really like the epilogue mission, though. A group of three bosses is always fun and this was the first time for me that I failed the protect the psyker side mission. I ran it at +11 difficulty and the psyker was spawned literally surrounded by enemies on all sides. My constructs charged into all four corners of the room, attacking random enemies, and even using target designator wasn't doing much, as there were just so many mobs around the psyker. It was actually refreshing - well done!

My Ordo sources indicate the following: Necrons and Tau next year. Orks in 2025 ;-)

Please don't tell me it was heresy.
