Story Mode/Challenge Mode from where can I change?

I started the game in Story Mode, but I find it is very easy and my character does not even take any damage... How can I change to Challenge Mode now that I gave already started playing with a character?

I checked under Options - Gameplay but I cannot see anything.


Also how does the Beta difficulty modes translate to Story Mode and Challenge Mode?#

I think this is a bug, as in story mode I take no damage whats ever. So any mission I play is kind of meaningless...


Now I have to start from the beggining in Challenge Mode, until they fix this or enable us to move to modes globally and not only for the story missions.

Ah, now you just ruined it for me. I thought my assassin was badass with inhuman dodge skills...

Still I did delete my character and started in Challenge Mode as in Story Mode I was taking no damage at all in most of the cases so I could just walk in-front of 10 enemies and a boss and kill then with no worries, so to me this was ruining the tactical options, the cover mechanics and the depth of the game. I would not recommend Story Mode for anyone.


That being said, I love the game!!!

you cannot select challenge missions until after Martyr....... "Spoiler/sorta"

Then as you select campaign missions or planetary/faction missions you can select challenge modes.

It seems there are a few select campaign missions where you cannot currently select for a challenge difficulty. 


I was also confused when I started out, as I wanted to go into Challenge mode once i did like 2-3 campaign missions.  As I was about to create a challenge character until I read the description on Story mode character and one of the last lines says "you can change to "challenge mode" at any time later."  KEYWORD "later."


Hope this helps :)  I'm only LvL 7 but this game looks amazing.

It's possible to switch the difficulty for the story mission on the panel before starting it, but i couldn't find anything for switching the normal mission and principaly the Uther's tarot mission.
