I feel as of now the block ability on the Storm Shield and the Suppression Shield is Bad? Boring? Useless?
It feels out of place and not worth the while using Focus on "yes it's only two but still."
Given the fact that with a shield you only get two abilities per weapon, as with any dual wield of course, but having only two shield types with effectively only 2 special shield moves being - Shield Charge and Discharge it does put the shields into a bit of boring state.
I have really tried to use Block as effective as i can time it and trying to block attack's but as the hard truth is, it's just not worth it, it's not worth wasting my Focus on it nor is the outcome noticeable at all i would most likely have Deflected the attack anyways.
Id personally like to see some change to the Block ability, could be?
Remove the block? And have One hand Main hand's three Abilities?
Or again Remove block and make the 1st of each shield abilities different so they don't do the same? Some Shield Slam?
Or just all in all make it a lasting buff with X Dmg reduction for X amount of X
That's just my two cent.

If they did so I would suggest it have mediocre damage but a knockback/knockdown and high suppression damage.
It should still maintain it's low/nonexistent cool down, with the focus cost being the price. I think it would add nicely to the melee weapon + shield combo.
Alternately, increasing the duration of the block could also work as it is quite difficult to time it properly since the boss' wind up animations are a bit sketchy and even when it looks like you did it properly it doesn't end up working.
But forget all about the Perks and skill that it can combine with that's not really the point i'm trying to make. The Skill is boring and lazy, and since this is feedback i'm feedbacking away
Quick idé, two shield types four abilities where two are the same so, only one unique ability per shield. I would love too see some more reward for actually timing the tiny narrow window there is to block with a reward than just (happy birthday you get to dodge an attack) wich you already do 80% of the time -_-
Having one being aggressive and the other defense wold be a better idé in my mind, like having one being Shield Riposte/slam or whatever, name doesn't matter, but getting a timed Block correct would make your crusader do a shield slam? into the block enemy and do high Suppression damage or something?
And/or perhabs having the other one be a shield wall ability for team play ?
I have not acquired Runic Armour yet myself, but i using Block's Focus use trigger's it is surely a BUG, since it nowhere on the Perk says anything else that "Amour Skill" use.
Even with that really, i still think the point is being missed here.
We only have 2 Shields and we only have 2 shield abilities actively? Since one of the abilities is the exact same on both shields. sure some other weapons have sorta the same but there are plenty of Dakka dakka and pointy point stuff out there.
It does not feel unique more so just lazy really.

The Perk, Runic Armour says 'Armour skill use' and something i noticed while grinding out the Heroic Deed to acquire it is that spending focus (including Block) negates that run.
Runic Armour should be read as 'Spending Focus provides +10% DR and +30% damage bonus for 5 seconds. Coupled with Bulwark of Zeal it gives 30% damage and 15%DR for 5s and 5%DR for 10s.
In the event that Runic Armour is not supposed to trigger, then sure block should be changed.
There are no Perks that directly interacts with the Skill- Block. There is one for Deflect (Feint Mastery) But that does not as i can see affect the skill Block at all.
As for Focus use
For example in combination with: Invigorating faith
Block: Heals for me at my current level and gear 51 HP, per pop
The focus use per pop is 2, and i need to spend 20 Focus in order too heal as much health as i would if use the same skill tree ability of 514, that whole process takes me 18 Seconds.(And i have -10% Cooldown to Focus use skills.)
And then.
Assault jump: Will heal me for 514 HP., per pop.
The focus here is then 20 Focus, this will take me only one second to cast.
I don't personally see much reasoning to use Block over Assault jump here at all, and even if you use a Demolition Armor or a Sentinel armor you'd just get even more HP since they are 50 and 60 focus on use.
And also the only other Focus use Skill i can find (correct me if i missed any) Is Bulwark of Zeal, that is a 5% Damage Reduction for 10 Secs whenever focus points are spent.
Again the massive amount of Deflecting my crusader is doing i'm finding no time or need to use block at all for a little 5% dmg reduction.
When i can just use assault jump (or one of the other armor skills) with way more payoff.
Having a 100% Deflect for 1 sec, added too it would be to be honest wasteful and useless, we don't need more deflect we need a skill that does something that isn't a waste of time and resources, again personal opinion.
Don't get me wrong tough i like the idé they went for with the skill Block, i just personally feel it not worth using what so ever.
Id rather like to see a new skill or a heavy remake of the skill block.

There are Perks and skill tree items that only work after spending focus, losing block would basically cripple them.
Personally I have no real issue with the way it works now, except that timing it to actually block something is incredibly difficult. If anything they could either increase the duration a bit or add an additional buff that increases deflect to 100% for 1 attack. That might be too powerful though so.. meh.
Set this current order state as My default.
