Playing regular Chernobog System missions (not the main quest or side quest) and my Influence meter is on zero, have completed 3 or 4 missions.

I have the exact same problem. Not sure if it's just early game stuff not letting you affect influence or a bug.

Do you play baby mode aka story mode? If so there's your problem.
