How local coop on console?

I got thru the 1st 5 missions and im in the command ship but dont see local coop anywhere?

You can play Matchmaking or Couch Coop from the Command Bridge once you reach it - select the appropriate terminal there. Everything is co-op friendly, except the single player campaign.

Me too...In command ship, there is no coop option up right of the starmap...how can we play coop?

Play one more story mission.

There is no coop for story. You unlock the option after the "tutorial" section of the game.
