My ladyfriend reports that after the last update (which lasted only 4 seconds for her) the game does no longer launch. She sees a message from Steam that the game starts (but only for a fraction of a second), but that message vanishes and the game does NOT start.

She verified her gamefiles twice, which did not help.

OK, VBlackfang's solution from this thread "Game is not running at all" seems to work :-)
