Continuous crashes/freezing cant play tutorials.
Warhammer 40K Bug ReportI posted this on Steam as im hoping posting here may have more traction?
So a new player here. I have a problem where I cannot get the game to run on my other computer without freezing and crashing after tutorial 1.
I was hoping the latest patch would fix but no such luck.
I can get the game to open, however when i go to the screen with the mission select for tutorials i am getting these large dots (mostly Green but sometimes also Red) appearing randomly on the screen quite quickly until the whole animation of the screen freezes. If i click a couple of times the game crashes and says it has stopped responding. This happen every time.
If I am super quick i can click on the tutorial and it opens and runs fine but if I exit I get the problem again.
Things I have tried:
*Deleting re-downloading and re-installing
*Verifying integrity of files
*Running and checking for all updates (video card, windows)
*Rolling back to other driver for video card (older versions)
*Running the game at different graphics settings
*Running the game at different resolutions
*Running programs like (Heaven and superposition)
*Running games like Skyrim, Diablo 3 and Fallout 4 at max settings (no issues)
*Changing various settings in the options (very low graphics (nothing ticked on up to max everything ticked)
*Created a WARHAMMER.TXT file and sent it to support
*Checked direct X was updated.
*Searched through heaps of forums looking for something similar
*Emailed support with a video showing the issue and the text file.
Things I have thought may be relevent
*Computer specs (GTX 1080 MSI, i7-5820K 3.30ghz, 64GB RAM, SSD, 3440*1440)
*I have tried dropping the screen resolution wayyyyy down and I have noticed that it is somewhat behaving most of the time but its horrible.
Im hoping someone may have some clues as what I could do next? I am under the 2 hour limit but I love this game I can play it on my other computer but my wife wants to play it as well and so far im out of ideas....
Thanks for reading this.
