Can't join a friend's campaign mission for some reason

5

Inquisitors, does anyone know why I might not be able to join a friend in the main missions on a certain character?

He is receiving a message along the lines of "that character isn't as far along in the story to be able to join this mission", however I have skipped the story on this particular character yet he is still unable to start the mission with me in the party.

The character is a Sororitas, level 30, and the mission level is about 64. He is a Crusader, and it is the Prophecy campaign (although the message appears for all campaign missions he has).

Additionally, I AM able to have the same missions started by him with my level 63 Psycher in the party, who has completed the story (but done it manually rather than skipping).

I really wanted to tag along with my Sororitas, but for some reason am unable to do so despite having 'completed' the campaign via the skip option.

Even though the message doesn't suggest so, might it be that she is too low level? It has to be this, or the fact that I used skip rather than a manual completion, right?

Ideas welcome! Thanks!

Ok so turns out you shouldn't be able to join a campaign mission on the account of you technically having done it already via the campaign skip. The error prompt is misleading as in the problem in your guys' case is not what it says, but instead that a campaign skipped character can't help out another character in the campaign

Some added info after playing about today:

Skipping the campaign doesn't seem to allow coop in a hosts campaign missions.

I've skipped the campaign on my Sororitas, but he host for the missions keeps getting an error that I haven't progressed far enough for him to be ale to start the mission.

For reference, I tested this with several other characters and found that:
a) this is the same error if I try to join with a character that hasn't progressed that far in the campaign
b) that characters who have actually completed the campaign (as opposed to skipping) can still join these missions

Unknown at this time if this is just a Sororitas bug, or a 'campaign skip' bug in general.

Any ideas on a fix Neocore, as I'd really like to tag along while the host makes some campaign progress on my skipped Sororitas?

Thanks for the update, this is good to know and much appreciated.

Strangely, I can still help out with my characters that have already done the campaign - so this is a surprising design choice by the devs!
