I played a few maps dual wielding different pistols. When I tried to exchange them for a 2-hand gun the pistols seem to be fixed to their slot.

The only option I got is to switch the pistols for other ones. Anyone knows a workaround for that?

Load up a melee weapon and pistol, then load up a 2handed melee and that should fix it. (It did when I got this one)

Tried, but no effect. Wearing a Grav Gun and a Chain Sword. Weapons can only be switched for single handed ones.
