After i restarted the game today i noticed that my footsteps didn't sound the same

They lost their umph* and bass and are really quiet but in coop my partner's boot stomps sound just fine

Tried all the settings still nothing.......

I am on a ps4  and its driving me nuts couse it sound like walking around in flip-flops instead of a Freaking WARMACHINE

We would recommend you to reinstall the game as it may solve the problem.

Could you please provide information on what you did before you restarted the game? We haven't received any similar report so more information would be useful.

There was a new patch incoming so i took a brake till it finished downloading after that i noticed my inventory was empty and the footstep sound changed

After I completed a random mission my loot popped back up in my inventory but the sound didnt change back

P.s i will tell you if the re-install fixed the prob

I notice the same on my crusader toon footsteps @ PS4.With the default audio setting it was a strong metallic sound before  (maybe even a bit too pronounced) now its very low end underwhelming. However I noticed that a lot of other sounds ranging from menu and also ambient sounde effects did get improved with the latest patch. I spoke with others and they also got this impression on improvements. So there was definetly (POSITIVE!) changes in Audio even if not mentioned in the patch notes. Neo recently tuned dowm the footsteps of your followers quite a bit intentionally (they were just annoying), so maybe in this attempt they also accidently tuned down our own footsteps as well?!

Look for instance at this streamer video at around 7:12:

Espcially on the bridge the metalic sound was aways quite pronounced before the patch.

Thanks @BYCROM‍ for the details and the video. The footsteps don't sound the same like previously. This needs some correction.
