- [PS4] Suppression damage
Hi,
I obviously have no idea whether this is a bug or intended. Either way, what I see in game makes no sense to me. And from what I observed on some gameplay video on PC, I decided to post it as a bug for console.
1. What I observed on PC :
I saw videos of melee crusaders on high lvl Warzone (400+) that could keep their suppression bar in the green while under ranged fire, only with the use of the skill in the Debuffs tree : "Domination".
I'm lower level, but this skill doesn't seem to always work and certainly doesn't suffice when facing heavy fire. What I am sure of : if a mob is instantly killed by an ability than can proc the required debuff, Domination is not procced. Is it intended? Even if intended, I would allow the proc in case of instant kill to ease suppression management (which I find is a massive PITA).
2. Suppression damage received :
Suppression damage received doesn't seem to be mitigated by resists and damage reduction. Is it a bug or intended?
The damage is absurdly high and the bar is almost instantly depleted when facing 5+ ranged gunner that damage your suppression bar (frequent for a melee crusader).
Also, a deflected shot seems to damage the supression bar, which would an obvious bug if confirmed (I'm at 30%+ deflect at the moment - which doesn't help at all for my suppression bar vs 5+ gunners).
I picked every skill that should help suppression management : it doesn't help at all. These skills are either bugged or undertuned.
3. Suppression damage done :
I played quite a bit now and I have almost always observed that I damage the health bar faster than the suppression bar. Some weapons are more specialised, but even then the health bar is already seriously damaged (under 30%) when the suppression bar goes in the yellow or red...
Suppression damage is thus either bugged or a useless stat for the player.
Connect that to my second point and you see that this is the complete opposite of what the Inquisitor experience. These two observations are thus not consistent and one or the other is the result of a bug (or misdesign, as the tutorial explains that it should function the same for player or PNJ ;-))
Conclusion : I don't know for sure if bug or misdesigned functionnality, but the suppression system is seriously flawed at the moment. My opinion of course, but up to now, I don't see myself not taking Augmented Body II for higher level content, which needlessly limit build options.
