WH40k Martyr issue / bug list part 3

3

Continuing from here: https://neocoregames.com/en/community/hub/50-crashrate-during-the-supreme-mission-of-a-void-crusade

1) The game has massive issues with incorrectly labeled abilities.

- The psyker power Bio-Lightning profits from area damage passive skills, but not from the "+% area damage" item attribute.

- The psyker power Bio-Lightning does not have the "ranged" tag, but profits from ranged passive skills like ranged crit and ranged damage. It has the flavor description "a medium range attack" but not the tag.

- The "heroic deeds" list demands for "Psychic Retribution" for attributes "complete missions with killing enemies with the psyker skill" without clarifying what psyker skills now are. Psyker Powers? Weapon abilities? Furthermore it does seem to break if you have NPCs coming with you and they kill enemies (and with that failing the advancement of this heroic deed).

- Severeal tooltips are unclear, especially for non-native english speakers. Example "Blood focus" radical passive tree: from a foreign perspective it reads as you get a general 5% damage bonus, while the second part is only active when you get hit. A correct description would be "On damage taken: 5% damage and ... "

2) Several "on hit" mechanics are not "on hit" but "on damage taken", invalidating some mechanics completely. Mechanically the games .has "on hit" vs "on attack" vs "on damage taken". This is not correctly reflected in tool tips

-  The radical skill "Blood Focus" is not "on hit", but "on damage taken" when combined with the psyker power "Precognition". The 100% damage reduction prevents "Blood Focus" from activating.

- The "reflect damage" item property does not work with "Precognition", as the 100% damage reduction does not allow anything to be reflected. The tooltip however does not state that.

3) The game has issues with CPU clogging, stuttering and/or memory leaks leading to crashes back to the desktop. During longer missions (Myrkon, Unholy Cathedral, Void Crusades) the games suddenly jumps from CPU usage of 60-70% to 90-95%, the FPS drops from 45-60 FPS down to 15-20 FPS, making ingame commands impossible due to the dia show. With that you die, invalidating sometimes 1-2 hours of gameplay especially in void crusades. This usually leads to crashes back to desktop. and I was (unwillingly) able to reproduce that multiple times. External sources (background programms, downloads, AV/FW services etc were checked and not the cause of these crashes).

Two examples captured:

https://imgur.com/a/qcRv7l0

This is basically half to 3/4 of these kind of missions (unholy, myrkon, void crusades).

Would it be able to get the appropriate rewards for 9k Myrkos? It is incredible frustrating if hours and hours of gameplay are completely invalidated by crashing games.

4) The game does not have a failsafe mechanic if your game crashes during the last Supreme Mission of a void crusade. If you crash to desktop and restart the game you receive the message "void crusade completed"  missing the rewards. The game should be able to determine if a Supreme Mission was started, was completed, if the chests were opened, if the loot was picked up and if the player teleported back to to command bridge.

5) The game seems to have issues with the random number generator. Spending 50+ rerolls and 3mio + on rerolling one single attribute leads (rod) leads to strange results

- Rolled

Efficiency Slow effects    5
Chance to slow on hit    5
loot quantity        8
Slow on crit        4
Supression damage    6
Duration slow        3
Experience        4
Suppression gained kill    1
HP Kill            2

( I noted down the rolls after around 1/3 of the rolls spended)

- The possible enchantment list shows:

30.0% to 50.0% Ammo
80.0% to 150.0% Damage Bonus for Bleeding effects
12.0% to 20.0% Damage Bonus to the next attack on Deflect/Dodge
12.0% to 20.0% Damage Bonus when Surrounded
12.0% to 20.0% Damage Bonus against Bleeding enemies
32.0 to 50.0 HP gained on Kill
12.0% to 20.0% Damage Bonus against Slowed, Shocked, Stunned and Frozen
5.0% to 25.0% Loot quality
5.0% to 25.0% Loot quantity
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Feared enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Bleeding enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Burning enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Champion enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Regular enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Poisoned enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Shocked,Slowed enemies
13.0% to 16.0% Damage Bonus for Constructs against Stunned enemies
12.0% to 20.0% Damage Bonus when Surrounded
-30.0% to -50.0% Overheat
-16.0% to -24.0% Cooldown Reduction for {skill}
20.0% to 32.0% Damage Bonus for {skill}
-16.0% to -24.0% Cooldown Reduction for {skill}
20.0% to 32.0% Damage Bonus for {skill}
-16.0% to -24.0% Cooldown Reduction for {skill}
20.0% to 32.0% Damage Bonus for {skill}
-16.0% to -24.0% Cooldown Reduction for {skill}
20.0% to 32.0% Damage Bonus for {skill}
16.0% to 24.0% Duration for Slow, Stun, Shock effects
16.0% to 30.0% chance to Slow on Critical Hit
6.0% to 10.0% chance to Slow on Hit
12.0% to 20.0% efficiency to Slow and Shock effects
10.0% to 20.0% Suppression Damage Bonus
40.0 to 80.0 Suppression gained on Kill
10.0% to 20.0% Experience gained

While of course not every attribute can be rolled (rods vs construct bonuses) some attributes never show up, even after 50+ rerolls. This is highly unusual and was, from a subjective point of view, experienced on many different items.

6)  The game offers me to purchase the Charybdis Outpost DLC for 800 fate. According to the Steam purchase I have all DLCs for this game. It would be great if the DLC names and the actual special assignment names would be the same - and would be correctly updated.

7) Several map teypes are not very easy to read, especially with a high speed (150%) or teleporting character (Aether Blade), so you cannot immediately see where blocking terrain is (walls, empty space, mountains etc) and where terrain is where you can actually walk or teleport to. This is especially true for the Ice / Blizzard / Snow storm set, the death world map and the desert maps (both types). A clearer visual representation of blocking and usuable terrain would be nice.

8) Aether Blade Teleport woes: the blade is supercool. The ability is supercool. It is really really fun ... if it works. In many cases you can teleport yourself out of the map or into obstacles without being able to continue. If you are lucky, the failsafe mechanic catches up and teleports you back to the entrance of the level, but the engine and map design does not seem to be able to handle teleport / charge abilities that well.

The first two parts got forwarded to our designers. They said you have a great view on the aspects of the game so they would like to have a conversation with you. If you feel like please join the game's Discord channel and contact King Sisyphus: https://discord.gg/TMYVf4

The rest of your points will also be considered. The failsafe mechanism is something we also thought about but to implement it we would need to make fundamental changes, modifying things which are core parts of the game. I will discuss the matter though.

complete missions with killing enemies with the psyker skill

- You have to use only skill that you can edit in the tome of power in command deck. (so no wand skills and NO CHEST/GRENADE/HEALTH BOX OPENING because game reads your open input (if you use controller then A button press) same as wand use A skill even when no attack animation is displayed). Yes its bs.

The game has issues with CPU clogging, stuttering

- I read somewhere in the interwebz that clogging, stuttering is happening because physics engine is cpu not gpu calculated and that dies when lot of shit is happening in screen. (happens a lot wih those breakable shelfs with skulls) (in my pc , steam overlay says that fps is 60 but game runs 5 fps when destroying a lot breakable objects with skill like gravity implosion).
