Inquisitors!

We are happy to announce that Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles later this year with enhanced new gen features.

These new and enhanced features include the following:

  • Native 4k support
  • Higher resolution textures
  • Enhanced shadows
  • Improved physics
  • Cross-gen multiplayer modes
  • Fully utilized DualSense controller on PlayStation 5
  • ...and more!

The new playable class DLC, announced back in 2021, is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles at a later date. The new Sisters of Battle class - an Inquisitor with an Adepta Sororitas background - will bring new class mechanics and item types to Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr as well.

As part of Games Workshop's annual Warhammer Skull Fest, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr and its DLCs are 75% off on Steam and up to 85% on consoles. To honor this tradition a new in-game event is now also active in Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor. Read more about the event here.

Any topic related to pricing and upgrades are decided by the game's official publisher - Nacon . We, the developer team doesn't have much say in such things.

Look forward to our announcement coming out tomorrow!

I really hope that Neocoregames does not neglect the fans that brought this game on the PS4, Xbox One and know are expecting to know if the upgrade to this new versions will be free or payed! It's long overdue a reply to this subject.....we don't understand why this silence with the Warhammer!?

My guess for a release would be Oktober 27th.

The german retailer Mediamarkt has a placeholder on their website for "PS5 WARHAMMER 40K INQUISITOR MARTYR ULTIMATE ED."

And it seems that it will be a seperate Edition. I hope there will be an upgrade path if you have an older version of the game.

It's been four months, time for an update. Been wanting to get back into this game since I played it at launch, but don't want to start till upgrade and new season. What's the ETA on this?

I have but one Question that requires Y/N answer or Y/BITF, N/NRN is also acceptable. Will it be cross-platform playable? I'd look though I have only so much time to wake get coffee absorb audio video or text news and whatnot before work or play till sleep. TY to those that asked and got the answer before me I have brothers who only use PC for work and console to play games.

Any updated news on this? any rough dates or timeframes?

So many questions.... will it be a free upgrade from ps4 to ps5?   What exact date will it be released for the ps5?  And something I'm surprised no one has asked; will our save file and character transfer over to the ps5 or do we have to start the game from the beginning?  No point of playing the game right now if we have to start all over when it comes out on ps5.

Please speak up. We need to know if there will be an upgrade path here, almost nobody will pay for a brand new version. You do remember the Prophecy expansion getting heat for s separate launcher, right? Play this right and you have yourselves a happy customer base. 15$ seems fair. And of course, the DLC will bring in the money. Again, fantastic work guys. Truly!

I sincerely hope there will be an upgrade path for those of us who already own the game.

I've read this a few minutes ago on the discord server announcement, one word - AMAZING, i asked for this on the discord server with no answer and i've given up hope. BUT  now it's coming .. this is what i've waited for since the new console generation was released, this will bring me back to the game.

Is the game on par with the PC version in terms of physics and so with this update? It was allways told that the downgraded physics for example were because of the lastgen console performance.

Best regards ... ehm no, i mean .. For The Emperor.

PS Good to read we get another DLC.

Glad to hear that this game is getting continued support. It's quite depressing to see so many 40k games get abandoned by developers really quickly after a lacklustre launch. In my opinion, in order to keep the player base active/growing. The enhanced edition should be free for those who already own the game, especially given that we need to pay for a new DLC. It also shows the community that the development team aren't just milking 40k fans for money. In turn, the community will continue to play and support new content for the game. It is also important for cross platform to be enabled to maximise player options to create a party with their friends, regardless of device, and enjoy the game. Generating profit is of course important for the games survival, but so is not being greedy. People aren't dumb and 40k fans are loyal. Make the right balance between providing value to stakeholders and shareholders alike. When things get tough, be patient and persistent. It may not be easy but it will definitely be worth it to see this game thrive, especially given that you currently have the right foundations to make this an even greater success. There is a reason why 40k has remained relevant over the last 60 years, with new content continually being developed by companies and adopted by fans - but only if it's good content.

"Adamantium walls and plasteel bulkheads may seem formidable, but an unshakeable faith in the Immortal Emperor of Man can overcome any barriers."

These decisions are up to our console publisher. As soon as we get any confirmation from them in this regard, we will share more details!

I have over 150 hours played on ps4. I don’t mind paying to upgrade, but I have no interest in starting the game over again. Either implement save transfer or I’m out.

Will there be any kind of paid upgrade for PS4 owners or is it a completely new/separate game?
