unable to create an in-game account

I bought the game on Steam and tryed to create an in-game account through main menu, when I enter my email (the same I use for my Steam account) an error message popups noticing that my email is already used for an account.

Does it have to do with the email being the same as the Steam email? Does Steam somehow create an account automatically like it does in other games? And if so, is there any way to link the game?

The in-game account creation feature is not necessary for you as you have a Neocore account already. If the linking could not be done on your end just let us know your in-game account name and we will link it to your Neocore account.

As far as I know anything, steam doesn't automatically create login accounts to any games you purchase. That has never happened to me, and I don't even know how it would. You don't have to use the same email either. I think the problem is with Neocore itself.
