Suggestion : changing camera angle for better aiming

4

Hi there,

I noticed while watching videos of the PC version, that the camera angle is slightly lower on PC, thus making aiming and tactical decisions a lot easier.

So I was wandering if such a thing could be possible for the console version. I'm pretty sure it could resolve a few problems, for aiming or using interactive environnements (cogitators, etc). Could be nice to have a way to tweak camera pov, like in Option Menu for instance^^

Is there anyone else interested by such feature ? For those who don't know what I'm refering to, please take a look on videos of the PC version, you'll clearly see how the pov is different :)

Cheers,

Well after a full week (and a change of main character in the same time, went MeleeAssa to MeleeCrusa), I have to say it's way better now : in fact I got used to the old targeting system, but atm it's amazing ! With a single-hit melee skill (or FullAuto or even one shot ranged skills) I only have to maintain the associated button pressed, and my character will choose (very often, may be some miss but marginal) the right target on its own :)

Great improvement !

Still, I regret this choice of angle, as it restrains us from appreciating the graphics as much as we could ^^

It takes a little getting used to but you eventually get the hang of it.

Push the right thumbstick down and the highlighted target goes from Red to White.  You can then push the right thumb stick left and right to cycle through your targetting options.

I get what you're saying about changing the camera angle but I expect it's locked the way it is for performance reasons.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll try this out. Still, I finally unlocked the Heavy Bolter for my Crusader earlier today and all I can say is, the targeting system was awful XD I'll try your advice then :)

Since the latest patch you usually have to push your character in the direction of the enemy you want to shoot for autotargetting to take place in the first place.

Also keep in mind that different weapons have different characteristics.

The Heavy Bolter is amazing... you look and sound god-like as you lay into the enemy on full auto... but the further away the enemy are, the wider your spread and the less accurate you're shooting is going to be.

The weapons in this game are really well done.  Great look, feel and sound.  When it comes to certain enemies some weapons also are much more appropriate than others.
