Question about Aimed Shots skill tree

For the top passive skill in Vindicare Indoctrination (Aimed Shots), it says +5% Execution Bonus, however I don't exactly understand what it does specifically for ranged weapons or for the Inquisitor, and I'd like to find an understanding.

Im not sure but im guessing JUST guessing here, that it might be for Dismemberment?
