PS5 - Further Inquiry About FPS Problems

6

Everyone!

We are looking for feedback from players who experience considerable FPS drops (to less than 30 FPS or constantly below it) on their PS5 while playing Inquisitor - Martyr. Our team did their best to reproduce this performance problem on several PS5 devices but to no avail. Hence, we wrote a short list of question which can give us a better picture about your settings and experience:

1. What is your Playstation ID?
2. What is the name of the ingame character you experience the issue?
3. On what maps do you experience the issue (for example, desert, “industrial” or on all maps)?
4. What is your display’s make and model?
5. Do you use the HDMI cable provided with your PS5?
6. Is VRR turned Off or Automatic on your PS5 Settings / Screen and Video?
7. Is “Apply to Unsupported Games” under VRR turned on in Screen and Video?
8.  Is ALMM turned Off or Automatic in Screen and Video?
9. As a last question: as you might know PS versions are divided by regions: EU, US, JPN. From which region are you playing?

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions!

A final note: we found the source of the screen tearing problem. Thanks for all the input shared with the team over the last 10 days!

I did send a link to a video in DM on Discord so you can see the problem. It is less frame drops than shimmer. Like screen tear almost. The fact frame blending and performance options from the original game were removed may have an affect on this as well

1. What is your Playstation ID? - ASTERISKTEC-CA

2. What is the name of the ingame character you experience the issue? - Heavy Gunner Crusader (Asterisktec)

3. On what maps do you experience the issue (for example, desert, “industrial” or on all maps) - INDUSTRIAL is by far the worst but it seems as soon as a lot of NPC's are on screen, it grinds to a halt.

4. What is your display’s make and model? LG-68P A6500 (it's a 10 year old plama but it rocks for gaming)

5. Do you use the HDMI cable provided with your PS5? - I don't belive it is

6. Is VRR turned Off or Automatic on your PS5 Settings / Screen and Video? -  Off, TV only supports 1080p

7. Is “Apply to Unsupported Games” under VRR turned on in Screen and Video? - NA

8.  Is ALMM turned Off or Automatic in Screen and Video? - Off

9. As a last question: as you might know PS versions are divided by regions: EU, US, JPN. From which region are you playing? - US

Thanks so much @MARCOPOLOCS‍ for getting this investigated so quickly ... if there is anything else that I can provide to get this sorted, just ask.
