Is there an easy way not to take any melee damage for a mission?

7

Hi. One of my ancient relic items has a requirement to complete 5 missions without taking any melee damage on your level or higher in order to unlock a buff on it. I've played like 50 missions and can't get through a single mission without taking melee damage. Chaos marines  always leap at you hitting you with giant axes usually. Does anyone know an easy mission type to not take melee damage? Thanks!

No, I really don´t think there is. But I know, indeed, it can be done. Have an Ancient Relic myself with this Requirement. So far am having 4/5 of them done. Don´t ask me how I managed doing it. With all the Action and Explosions and whatnot around me when I´m playing, it is indeed only a miracle that I manage it at all.

I guess some1 would say have faith in the Emperor here. But... Anyways, GL.

Maybe aeldari-type missions? They seem to have mostly ranged units. But it's hard to force these because of the "on your level" task

Yeah cool! I still haven't gotten through one. I figured rebel guard missions might be the easiest way, and I swear I kept my distance and took no melee damage and it still didn't register. I woudn't be asking, but I'm past level 90 now, so I'm trying to unlock all my ancient relic items fully, and since I'm level 95 and havent gotten enough Uther Tarot Cards, I can't level up any missions,  so I can't choose what kind of missions I want from the starmap anymore. I'm stuck with Priority Assignments, Void Crusades, Intels, and Ordo. Can't select the type of mission I want.

Hi! The Aeldari always seem to beam right close to you and have a tendency to pursue you at high speeds.

Well, you could go Warzone Missions. Unless you already done it all.

Also a thing I think can help with Ancient Relics with Requirements like that, is strap it on, and kinda "FORGET" that they are even there.

would say it also depends on your weapon type. But generaly said, i think shock/stun on crit. are good countermeasures against leaping enemys.

You could also use the psalm-code "crit always stunes"

While true, the warp spiders (those are the units that teleport right in front of you) use ranged weapons. It's a few of the bosses and the banshees that are the problem. I agree that Aeldari are one of the easiest foes to fight without engaging in melee, that said engaging without melee is hard regardless of who you are fighting.

Use long distance ranged, stun mines, kiting, and take the mission slow engaging the enemy and running away (over your mine traps). It can be painstaking but you'll get there.
