Dedication to vent.

This is the first time I've put the effort into creating an account to voice my discontent with a game. First, find your web designer responsible for the forums and purge that abomination from your payroll. This story and game are solid, the price is was not. I reviewed and research prior to commitment, seemed like something I could enjoy. So, I went all in for XBOX Imperium edition and progressed to incite the Emperor's will bringing death to the Heretics and Xeno scum. I finished the main story, slaughtering my way to almost lvl 40. It has been a testament to my dedication to not regret my purchase (small print is important, no refunds on digital games).

 Several issues test my patience:

a. When holding "A" at an objective then running off to collect supplies I can't even use, takes a bit of effort but eventually works.

b. When holding "A" and the avatar runs off from the enemies to hit an exploding object.

c. I'm currently stuck on Harbinger's of Hate with no way of progressing. Why? Because server disconnect at mission completion, wont let me drop quest and try again.

d. The current multiplayer implementation is a travesty; you need 4 to just to start, rewards are terrible (xp vs effort), no announcement group is ready just have to stare at it and press "Y" when it pops.

e. Could the Radical branch perks be any worse just get rid of it and stick to ingame story choices.

I really enjoy the game, so much potential. Don't reinvent the wheel to be different, do what works. The WH40K franchise needs a win. Find that good idea fairy in your design committee making terrible suggestions and purge their employment.

Edit: The game locking up and turning off the console should be a priority focus.

I totally agree with everything you've said. And I have more to add.

Destructible buildings that just fade away. I don't expect that on an xbox one game. It looks like an Alpha build. Even Android games have persistent damage.

Invisible blockages everywhere. Especially on planet maps. You get stuck on so many things. The camera angle doesn't help. It needs to pan slightly.

Dozens of people stuck in campaign missions. Missing characters etc. No comms from devs. This is totally unacceptable.

Star map issues. Lots of star map issues. Frame rate drops to nothing, console turns itself off. The initial teleport into a mission always glitches as well.

Spelling mistakes, typing errors. The smallest text possible used for all conversations and clues. Gear icons look like they're made in MS Paint 98.

That Knight/Baneblade mission. How did anyone sign that off as finished? In fact all of the ice planet maps are uglier than a Nurgle demons' dick. I felt like I was playing command and conquer on a PlayStation 1.

When you're fighting multiple enemies in melee, you can't see what  you're fighting and because of the targeting I have no idea who comes next, is it that barrel 20 metres away or a chaos marine? I'm just holding A button hoping I don't die.

Operating turrets isn't fun at all. Just get rid of it.

I died twice in the entire campaign, both times to multiple psychers with an insane amount of warp funnels. They are the only challenge you face. Everything else was mincemeat. This has a lot to do with how easy it is to create O P gear at pretty much any stage of the campaign. There's no incentive to play higher difficulties either.

Speaking of which, multiplayer. What's the point in playing until you're level 50? Bad rewards, no challenges, not enough xp.

Heavy weapons don't feel heavy. It was quicker and easier to use a Boltgun. Or quicker still, Thunder Hammer and Bolt Pistol. How does a bolt pistol out gun a heavy bolter? Plasma rifles feel like you're farting at an enemy. This tells me that weapon balancing has not been done properly.

And as already mentioned, the targeting. It's probably the worst when you've got a horde charging you. It's hilarious trying to aim at one. I just hold AUTO on my Bolter and watch my Crusader dance in a circle like an idiot.

Huge potential, let down by poor design choices. I had high hopes for this game and I still think there's a really good ARPG hiding underneath it.

But don't even think about releasing season pass or DLC content until the base game is FINISHED. I won't be buying a season pass until I see that improvements are made.
