It may not feel like it, but take a look at the Season of the Inferno which is now. That is a Major Update.
look at roadmap https://neocoregames.com/en/roadmap
dark nemesis approaching...
Yes, we are working on some new stuff:
- 2 events are in the preparation (Dark Nemesis and a not yet named one)
- the Season of the Inferno will come to an end around the beginning of November or so (we will provide a more exact date to grant everyone enough time to finish their goals)
- a new major patch will also be out later this year (a quite big one, comparable to the Inferno patch)
I guess that means no more expansions, though?
Oh well, I really like the game - so I'm greedy!
I know some Updates can and should bring more and different things onto the table, like Major Updates and Seasons is a perfect opportunity to bring on new stuff, and even some of the stuff I mention at the start here. I will not call Events like the upcoming one a Major Update, a small one rather, but still an update. Seasons are bigger ones, since they do actually take some Major planning to execute.
But you know what Neocore?! I do think you are planning some nice things within the future of Inquisitor, and probably many things is left to see, but even with this, and I have to admit it, (and probably not the only one around) do truly do wish to see a huge big major EXPANSION for Christmas. It costs money yes, and likely something around €15-€20 or something like that, but I don´t care, because that one brings so much sweet & awesome new things to the game.
So, there you have it. A big wish and also because of the game needs it. And also because I felt the need of saying it.

So what will happen if the last challenge does not pop up before the season ends? At this rate, it seems perfectly plausible. I.e. it's not about me not being able to clear a specific challenge - it's about a challenge not even showing up.
But to come back on topic (sorry about the digression): what you could do for the next expansion (or the one after that, if it's too late for new features) is to develop a proper Warhammer codex in game, probably in the Journal window. Bring the WH40K lore into the game. Do a deal with whoever is running the Warhammer wiki to allow you to re-use their articles (shortened if needed). That will give the game the right atmosphere. Sort of like what Mass Effect had with its own codex articles and images - but in this case you'll have much more source material to drawn on. And it would enrich the game immensely.
And you could use it to support the game long-term - each codex article could be accompanied by audiobooks. Cut a deal with GW / Black Library (or Audible or whoever is GW's reseller) to sell their audiobooks in-game; add little icons in each codex article that will allow people to purchase / listen to the related audiobook stories and dive deeper into the WH lore while they play the game. It's a nice little long-term income if you can get it, not related to the game play in any way (and thus not breaking anything or giving unfair advantage), while giving the players hundreds of hours of WH stories to listen to while they do their inquisitorial duties.
I cannot promise anything but to bring it up to our team. Thank you!
Note: I'm glad you could complete all the challenges!:)
