We're receiving a lot of feedback following the console release of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr across all platforms and social media, so we'd like to gather everything that might concern you for a quick reference.
1. Patch is coming soon
Please rest assured that we're constantly monitoring feedback and we're working on patches accordingly. Though this is not a very quick process, you can expect fixes for most common problems regularly, as soon as we have processed feedback, fixed the most pressing problems, and the patches gone through the approval process. These can take several days, but they're on the way.
Our first upcoming patch will improve stability, auto-aiming and fix some of the more common bugs on consoles. Patches will regularly improve the overall game, while free content updates (Seasons) will provide additional content and further improvements. In general, these updates contain the same content as the PC version, but with a slight delay in publication.
2. Verifying your account
There seems to be a few players who have trouble with registration, login or e-mail verifications. If you're one of them, first of all, you should check the following before contacting us:
- Is your e-mail account still active?
- Are you the only user of the e-mail address?
- Is the verification link e-mail maybe in the spam folder?
- Did you enter your e-mail address correctly?
- If you received a 404 on mobile, have you tried clickin on it on a desktop PC?
What you should avoid, as they might be the source of the problem:
- Clicking a verification link after requesting a new one (only the last one will work)
- Spamming verification requests endlessly instead of waiting for a verification link to arrive (it can take a few more seconds, just check again the spam folder, refresh, but don't request a new one every second)
If the problem persists, please contact [email protected], and we can look into your case. Please provide both your e-mail address that you tried to use and your PSN ID or Gamertag.
You can also try registering with another e-mail address, see if that works.
(Also, don't post your e-mail address and console ID on social media by tagging us, as it will be visible to everyone.)
3. Proper channels for technical support
If you'd like to engage in the conversation about technical problems, you can get a faster reply and solution if you target the proper support channels. If you have any technical problems with the game these are the most effective channels:

I have written an Email to your xboxone support days ago. I never received a response. I voiced my concerns to your community managers, offering comprehensive feedback what bothers me most and they do not even react. How can I be sure that you even receive what I send when I get zero feedback? It leaves me with the feeling that I am talking to the void. One of your community managers responded once and has now been "away" for 20 hours. Your other community manager supposedly answers in less than 10 minutes but no feedback either. Can you imagine how that feels? And us console players do not merely want the same content as PC players, but also the same game features - as advertised on your own homepage -. Unless by "content" you also meant missing features of course

Last time I checked (2 hours ago) it was still marked as "unread". I do not know if that has changed by now but I doubt it. You never even read my answer to your message. Strange then that I don't have an answer. Or I am visually impaired for I checked several times. So let me reiterate for the community.
I would be appreciative if you were to refrain telling things out of context in order to deflect justified criticism. My email to xbox customer support was never answered. You did not respond to that Email, but to a message I wrote to you through your chat system - after I had waited days for an answer - and decided to contact you instead about the missing limb dismemberment / almost fully destructible environment which you showcased and which are yet missing in the console version. You graced me then with a single reply, but only gave me vague allusions that "appropiate actions would be taken" and that the console trailer showing missing features had been made by the publisher and you would get back with them (placing the blame on others is always the easiest way to deflect criticism). Strangely enough, you also wanted to get in touch with the PR team.
In my follow-up response - which you never responded to - I wrote that I was displeased about the fact that you "neglected" to inform the console community that the console version might significantly differ from the PC version - with entire features completely being absent - . Look at your website: There you state "Be an inquisitor on any platform now" - and then directly list all these cool game features (such as limb dismemberment, fully destructible environments, etc) only for me to find out that some of these are not even in the game right now after spending 80€ on the Imperium Edition. Then I read on the forums that supposedly the devs said some of these features may not come at all. And you can still not understand my anger? If I had known this I definetly bought the PC version and not a castrated console version.
You and I both know Microsoft's "no refunds" policy" so I am basically f*cked, unless you add these features, which would - according to you - stretch even the PS4 Pro and XB1X to their limits. I asked how Diablo 3 manages to have both destructible environments, limb dismemberment in their console version including a realistic physics engine? This game was released 4 years ago for XONE / PS4. I own both PC and console version and did not even see a difference. And you go ahead and say Martyr can't do it. You know what? I would rather not have "quality mode" on my XB1X and have these features than play at 1440p with sudden performance drop and a castrated PC version.
Martyr is simply a textbook case of a poorly polished console port, which you can already deduce from the tooltips (apart from all the bugs and lack of polish, thats where the performance issues come from btw): For instance I am supposed to control for AI allies control pressing F. And you also just copy/pasted the information about the environment which states that almost everything will visibly be damaged and then destroyed. Yet on the console everything just phases out. That is, if you have the patience to hit a pile of barrels for several seconds. Only then the "destructible environment" parts will apparently be beamed into orbit onto the Enterprise, with no sign of damage before they vanish.
To be fair (and to demonstrate that I am not just trolling): There are a very few exceptions where environmental objects actually do look like you tore them apart before they vanish. I want to stress that the vanishing part is not the issue, as I am aware that you can't have debris lying around eating up performance. But you won't tell me your programmers weren't aware of the lack of polish (because that's all there is to it). You honestly want to tell me this is not valid criticism? You deliberately led console players to believe they would essentially get the same game as PC players, without delivering. And then you try to make it look like I am just trolling when I simply write of facts like I personally insulted you. I think you would be angry too if you spent 80€ on a game and received only half of the advertised game experience.

First off, I really love the game so far. I’ve been waiting for a SciFi ARPG for a while, especially one that feels more like “determined grinding down of a foe” than “zippy Mach speed acrobatics,” and Inquisitor is filling that role nicely.
I have an obsevation (and suggestion) though. I’ve been playing a “thematic” Heavy Gunner Crusader, where I’m using missiles, grenade launchers, and frags almost exclusively. It’s been fun, but now I’ve hit the point where the Kreig Doctrines Area of Effect tree has nothing else in it that works for my skill build. Problem is, without grabbing useless skill nodes like Melee AoE, Cone AoE, and Aura AoE I can’t grab “Eradicative Protocols.”
Are there any plans to revisit and revamp the skill trees? I don’t feel like it should be necessary to squander several skill points on useless nodes for one’s build just to grab a skill that is useful. I’m sure melee-centric builds feel the same way.
Maybe a “fork” layout for skill trees that are useful for multiple builds? For example, in the Krieg Doctrines line you could have a “Melee AoE” fork, a “Ranged AoE” fork, and a general “Suppression/Support” AoE fork, all leading to the “apex” skill. Fully investing in one fork would unlock the apex.
Again, love the game, and would welcome any feedback to my idea.

On destructible environment as it is apparently impossible to get a straight answer: Just to demonstrate my point: A review of the XB1X version uploaded on August, 21st. Fast forward to minute 16++ - showcasing quality mode WITH actually destructible environment on XB1X -.

You can also see sparks when sword hits objects, stray bullets also visibly hit walls and small pieces of debris seem to be falling down from time to time when that happens. I have never seen anything close to ths of this. You will also notice actual environmental destruction as opposeed to objects simply phasing out as they do right now. Near the end even an entire column reaching up to the ceiling collapses. This is exactly what I thought I had been paying 80€ for. This is 20 minutes of gameplay, obviously a very late pre-release build. Obviously it can't be the final release (even though the graphics look exactly as if it was) or things would just be phasing out.
Now you can give me your standard 3 thumbs down for all I care. I simply posted this gameplay footage to demonstrate that the XB1X obviously can handle realistic environmental destruction - even in quality mode. Your live chat is down btw or is it just me because I dared asking inconvenient questions? If that is the case I sincerely believe that you should treat a customer who paid 80€ for your game in good faith with a little more respect.
I can't help it if you can't take valid criticism and see it as personal insults. I will no longer post or even come to the forums anymore. If nothing is fixed (as I have come to expect) I will press for a refund. I have also saved the website as a pdf file as additional proof of false advertising just incase. Again looking forward to the standard 3 thumbs down. That is all.

So here's a list of bugs I encountered quite a few times since I got the game (2 weeks ago).
Console : PS4 classic (not Pro)
Format : Digital Edition
Gameplay bugs :
- Reload action bug : at some point, when using ranged weapons, the reload action is stuck and the character will reload every time I stop using a ranged skill
- Belt equipement bug : it happens every now and then, gear equiped on belt will not activate when I press the associated button. Tried several gamepad configuration, problem's still there
- Inventory bug : happened a few times, items in character's inventory or shop's inventory won't load (and timer in shop is set to --:--). Have to quit the game to Main Menu and reload save to solve the problem
- Exp/Mission rewards bug : happened once, completed a mission after a few hours in Pause Menu, and got no reward from completing the mission. Quitting to Main Menu and reloading save solved the problem (got Exp and Items back)
System bug :
- Error occured bug : happened at least 3 times since I first launched the game, game crashes and PS4 error screen pops up
- Sound system bug : happened only once (today, 09/08/18) ; sound went off during a fight, and even quitting to Main Menu didn't solved the problem. Worst thing is, it affected PS4 system too, I had absolutely no sound at all ! I had to quit the game (i.e kill the process) to get the sound back....
- No Vocals in Dialogues bug : happened a few times, got several dialogues where vocals didn't launched for some characters (once the Inquisitor, once the Tech-Priest, once Ragna)
I'll update this post as I'll continue playing. It is not meant to be a bashing post, just a list to help improve the game ! I like it a lot it's a blast and I still play even with these bugs. But it deserves a better look that it has right now ;)
I'd love to get a fully enjoyable experience ^^

Still, new bug encounered earlier today :
- during Online play, after taking down an Elite type enemy (I think it was a Chaos Knight) my character got stucked on place, unable to move, activate items, switch weapons or attack... I had to wait for the rest of the players to clear the mission (thus missing loot on my end) without doing anything...
And I'd like to add a comment about fps drops (and even freezes) I experience on PS4 (online & solo play) : it happens when camera is a bit far off the character and gets worst if I activate tactical informations (which I disable to help the proc with fewer things to calculate). Finally, every pyrotechnical effet, destruction of textures and even loots give little freezes....
It's really annoying, especially when playing online as I often end up launching a skill on an enemy who's already gone....
Thanks for adressing these issues asap, the game is a blast, I'm having tons of fun with my Assassin, too bad there are so much work left undone :-/

the skill that allows me to recover "sniper fire" after a kill with does not work in multi, probably due to a slight latency.
True, but what are you gonna do about it? Get to court? All you can do is ask for a refound and delete the game. I want that feature too, but as I never seen that feature in action, I don't miss it at all when I play. Also there is so much carnage on the battlefield I think you would not see limbs flying around anyhow... ;)

- after several days going through online games, I came back to the main campain yesterday night (GMT+1 Paris, Bruxelles, Madrid) and I had to replay several misions I already completed, as if my progression in main campaign was reset to a certain pont... Don't know if it's intended (as we are at the start of the week) but still a bit annoying.
In general I feel that the server-sided choice is not very console-wise : creates all sortes of problem due to latency, unreachable server, etc and is useless as for now the exploits to edit saves on PS4 are failures afaik. And even if it was to be discovered, confirmed and not patchable by Sony, this woulb be irrelevant as the main campain is solo (i.e offline) only.... I wish the game was developped differently on consoles....
As far as I'm concerned, I don't care about limbs getting ripped off or destructible environnements (camera is too far and too oddly placed to really appreciate these btw), all I care is a smooth game experience and lots of calculations on builds :D
So first session of playing after the PS4 patch:
- Still having issues with using environment elements (cogitators, AA batteries, teleporters...) when they're near cover. Seems to happen less often than before the patch, but still just got through a Bunker Busting mission where i had to destroy 4 pieces of cover to be able to interact with the AA towers and the teleporters...
- Two blue screen crashes; one mid mission other when trying to exit to main menu (from ship deck).
- Regarding targeting, we still often suffer being surrounded and suddenly not targeting new enemies and just shooting straight ahead while being attacked from the sides/back. In general it seems to have improved (for ranged combat at least, haven't gone back to my melee crusader yet), but work on targeting is still needed.
- No difficulty selector visible in missions other than the story quests.
- "Falling" through the ground in some places; mostly on rocky environment, sometimes walking forces your character through the ground straight down; you can walk back up going the opposite way.
- Camera zooming in randomly. Not often, but there.
- Is there an input to command allies now? Or is it still "F"? In case anyone is curious, connecting a bluetooth keyboard and pressing F does nothing... :P

- Targeting system is still a bit random, I happened to strike (with melee assassin) or shoot (with ranged crusader) in the void quite a few times
- Fell through floor using the Execute skill of Greataxe (Crusader) once
- Netcode is still buggy, online fps drops are so huge I happen to watch a slideshow during big battles (= 4 players and bunch of enemies/pyro effects)
On an other topic, I'd like to submit an idea : I noticed while watching videos of PC version, that the PointOfView of the camera on consoles is a bit higher (in fact almost vertical to the Inquisitor), thus rendering the visibility of battlefield less accurate.
Could it be possible to "lower" the angle, so that we have something closer to the PC version PoV ? It'd be a huge improvement :)

I made a couple posts on the steam discussions about the xbox one version offset for this game as well since devs tend to check the forums out over there as well. Thank me later ;).
So I said I would wait for the patch before posting again. I installed it yesterday, played a few hours. It saddens me to say that I am disappointed. But let's start with the positives first, before I am judged guilty of the unforgivable heresy that this game might need improvement on consoles. I mean don't get me wrong. I actually like it, or why else you think I would even bother to write such lengthy posts? I hope you will listen and improve on things - especially on fetures which were even present in previous iterations of your game (as shown in the video link below in the "cons" section).
The pros:
1.) Warrior posture much improved. When having a shield equipped the melee crusader now actually enters a warrior-like combat-stance putting the shield in front of him. Looks much better than before
2.) There appears to be more "gore" in the game (as in: enemies literally torn apart)
3.) When you hit an object you actually see it much more pronounced (as in sparks flying off objects)
4.) visual quality appears to be improved (lighting, shadows, etc), but I might be wrong.
The cons:
I strongly suggest for you to watch the video link I posted (https://youtu.be/IDW31NDeq3s) starting around the 16th minute ("quality mode" because I wonder what happened to environmental destruction:
1.) Now next to nothing is destructible anymore. Now basically almost every obstacle is directly beamed onto the Enterprise once you destroy it.
1a.) I performed the ultimate test and destroyed a column reaching to the ceiling. In the video I posted it crumbled - with debris visibly falling to the ground - . Now it just desintegrates like almost everything else.
2.) Even objects that previously had destruction "animations" now also just vanish (like wooden covers). Everything, and I mean everything would look better than hitting a barrel and seeing it vanish as if you poured highly concentrated acid over it. In the video I posted wooden cover exploded in a cloud of dust with a hint of wood within. Now these too just vanish. It looks ugly and makes my eyes bleed.
3.) Inexplicable slowdowns, also when targeting a villain the camera automatically moves to maximum distance (maybe that contributes to slowdowns). Many current games run at 4k on the XB1X. Yet Martyr manages to already go to its knees at 1440p. Again I would rather have 1080p than missing out on all the immersion you further reduced with this patch (apart from the pros).
4.) Only a single execution animation
5.) On the topic of tin barrels (not explosives). Please explain why a crusader wearing heavy power armor is stopped by a tin barrel. He should be able to walk just over it. I understand it for psyker and assassin but a guy wearing 500 kilogram armor cannot just wade through barrels? Have you ever read a warhammer book? You can literally walk through thin walls when wearing power armor. In Martyr, however, the unstoppable, heavily armoured crusader is stopped by a tiny barrel....
Weapons like the lasgun that has a channel frontal cone is now just terrible. I liked the weapon before since the channel laser would auto target the next enemy, now you have to try to move the analog and the laser doesn't snap to targets at all anymore. This makes the weapon very hard to use and gimped the lasgun a lot.
I am sure this is also a issue with the bolter rifle or any weapons with a channel cone.
Is there anyway you could fix these abilities or was your main intenion to nerf those weapons? The lasgun was fun to use and had a unique gears of war style build with the lasgun and my crusader. Now with these changes I just won't even bother playing him :(.
Add to the bug list (XB1X):
1.) Random loss of all skill points
2.) Objects still flickering in and out of existence
3.) In addition to the single execution animation certain types of enemies also have only one death animation. For instance while killing Black legionaires with jumppacks all of them went down in the exact same way, i.e. toppling over with the still lit backpack pointing towards the sky. I mean it looks great to see drop onto their knees and then collapse, until you realize that the death animation was the same for all the same chaos marine "model".
2a.) A bit more variety would be cool. It would be even more awesome if Chao champions/bosses showed some armor degradation/wounds before they went down instead of just toppling over once they reach zero heath. Of course if they regenerated the wounds would be mended.. They're all infused with the heretical power of Chaos after all (so you could explain it away). It would be so cool to watch your villain you're just dueling slowly being worn down by your relentless attacks before he dies. But maybe model exchanges are not wanted (however, I do not see added polygon count by exchanging one model for another, so why not?).
3. I haven't tried it out yet but have you fixed the random shut-downs on consoles? In the version prior to this patch I could reliably reproduce this bug on the starmap when selecting a star system and pressing one of the thumb sticks for system information. This caused my XB1X to crash everytime.
Gameplay idea on how citadels could work:
Oh and I may actually have an idea how you could make citadels work. I am certain many players would enjoy it. Why don't you just make it a bit Sim City style? You start as a cabal, then players start contributing points to advancement of the citadel, either by currency or completing missions (design decision). As time goes along you could expand the base and add - for example - a mechanicum extension where you could research unique blueprints (as opposed to buying them off the vendor) and buy defenses for your base (which would then also be ingame later). Then, once your citadel has sufficiently been reinforced the cabal will be attacked by Chaos renegades. Then a timer would start ticking and players would need to complete a certain number of missions (all taking in various parts of the citadel) in a certain amount of time. This would award "defense points". If the clock ran out before the clock stopped ticking he citadel would take damage (as in: losing a base extension for example) which you would need to rebuild. If below a certain level of citadel power it would not be attacked until you reached your previous power level where the struggle would begin anew. That would mix up things.

Habe in der Storyquestreihe "Die Alpha Pariah" die erste Mission gespielt und beim Verlassen hat sich das Spiel aufgehängt. Also Bild freez. Habe gewartet und es hat sich gefangen, mit 2 Ladebildschirmen und Stand dann wieder auf dem Schiff. Hab die Belohnungen nicht bekommen und auch keine Beute, kein Exp und er hat sie auch nicht als abgeschlossen gewertet.
Nun ist das Problem das ich die Mission nicht wiederholen kann, da sie nicht auf der Sternenkarte anwählbar ist und mir nur an der Seite angezeigt wird. Dort komme ich nicht hin und unter Protokoll ist sie auch nicht anwählbar.
Ich bitte um Hilfe damit ich weiter mit der Story machen kann.
Das ganze ist auf der PS4 und Char ist Tinzon ein Kreuzritter.
Vieleicht könnt ihr sie mir einfach zurück setzen.

Not sure about the PS4 version but the Xbox One cabal missions need reset. They needed reset last week this will be week 2 they have been stuck please reset them.
Another thing is, are there any helmets in the game yet? I only got default and no helmet to choose.
And the last thing is the framerate, for most of the time it´s solid but when it comes to bossfights ore coop/multiplayer it can
become quite annoying, but all in all i really like this game.
Aiming is totally broken. Worked way better before the patch. Apparently they just roll stuff out without trying it first. PLEASE ROLE BACK OR FIX AIMING.
Just want to talk about some issues I have on the ps4.
1. We cannot revive players in multi-mode.
2. The targeting system is broken.
3. I got a system hard crash on my ps4, like totally frozen. I had to unplug the machine.
4. The assassin is not working well in multi player mode, because when the assassin does an execution, the mission bugs. This also happens with the crusader if he executes a boss.
5. Primary assignment doesn’t appear anymore.
6. When I go see the mechanicus to change your appearance, I get kicked out of the game.
7. Sometimes the sound cuts completely and shortly after the game crashes.

The crash issues are being fixed day by day and hopefully soon the number of these issues will come to zero.
Do you experience any sound problem when you do not get a crash just start a mission, get a dialogue or something like this?
As for the appearance how you meant you get kicked out of the game? Do you get any error message?
in coop mode on the xbox breaks the game constantly as soon as my buddy is spawning on my command bridge ........ with other online coop games we don’t have this problem. when will it come to a fix?

5) Barrels rarely highlight as a target for L1R1. I often forget they are even destructible objects.
Me and my friend had the same crash yesterday, the hole game freezes and there is nothing i could do but to make the console powerless.
