Inquisitors!

We're receiving a lot of feedback following the console release of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr across all platforms and social media, so we'd like to gather everything that might concern you for a quick reference.

1. Patch is coming soon

Please rest assured that we're constantly monitoring feedback and we're working on patches accordingly. Though this is not a very quick process, you can expect fixes for most common problems regularly, as soon as we have processed feedback, fixed the most pressing problems, and the patches gone through the approval process. These can take several days, but they're on the way.

Our first upcoming patch will improve stability, auto-aiming and fix some of the more common bugs on consoles. Patches will regularly improve the overall game, while free content updates (Seasons) will provide additional content and further improvements. In general, these updates contain the same content as the PC version, but with a slight delay in publication.


2. Verifying your account

There seems to be a few players who have trouble with registration, login or e-mail verifications. If you're one of them, first of all, you should check the following before contacting us:

  • Is your e-mail account still active?
  • Are you the only user of the e-mail address?
  • Is the verification link e-mail maybe in the spam folder?
  • Did you enter your e-mail address correctly?
  • If you received a 404 on mobile, have you tried clickin on it on a desktop PC?

What you should avoid, as they might be the source of the problem:

  • Clicking a verification link after requesting a new one (only the last one will work)
  • Spamming verification requests endlessly instead of waiting for a verification link to arrive (it can take a few more seconds, just check again the spam folder, refresh, but don't request a new one every second)

If the problem persists, please contact [email protected]and we can look into your case. Please provide both your e-mail address that you tried to use and your PSN ID or Gamertag. 

You can also try registering with another e-mail address, see if that works.

(Also, don't post your e-mail address and console ID on social media by tagging us, as it will be visible to everyone.)


3. Proper channels for technical support

If you'd like to engage in the conversation about technical problems, you can get a faster reply and solution if you target the proper support channels. If you have any technical problems with the game these are the most effective channels:

Hi there...the problem with multiplayer is that, all of a sudden, is near impossible to get into a mission. Ive done 47 so far but the last 7 were very difficult to get and took a lot of attempts. It either does not find enough players or the message "matchmaking not available" appears. Have tried waiting 30 minutes sometimes, without success. This did not happen at the beginning. No real issues getting connected for the first 40. Playing on XB in Portugal. Thanks

I'm not telling you how you should feel. I was stating how I feel. If that upsets you that is your problem. I enjoy the game despite its bugs and prefer an optimistic approach apposed to a pessimistic one. but to each there own.

Anyone else notice that Charybdis Outpost is discounted now? I guess Neocore has time to put sale tags on stuff, but can't be bothered to make it playable.

And some people are just happy with a beta release of a game sold full price ^^

More than 20 days than 3 of of characters are stuck with the crashing bugs, I should be happy with it ??

I'm very familiar with both neocore games and the 40k universe and I know they are working on the fixes it's one of those things you just have to find something else to play during those down times. Just like POE on launch. Which I know isn't the best example considering poe is a free to play but I beleive everybody has been waiting for a diablo like 40k game. So now that we have it we should embrace it. Because if we do not I doubt it will be around. It's a company trying something they haven't done before but I beleive it will pay off.

I like the game, too. I'm a huge 40K fan and have been wanting a Diablo-esque version of Warhammer for years. But I also really want to see it improve. Frankly, right now it's unplayable. The bugs in the main storyline alone are issues that should've been resolved in the alpha. And definitely shouldn't have made it past the beta. Now we have a game we've paid for that we can't actually play. And paid DLC that can't be accessed. And still no coherent response from the development team. If you, as an individual, are OK with that it's your prerogative. But it's not acceptable to the rest of us, nor should we be making excuses for developers who simply aren't communicating with their customers. I'm OK with a fun game that has some bugs. I'm OK with waiting a little while for those bugs to be resolved. I'm not OK with the direction Megapull has taken with his responses to legitimate complaints and bug reports, nor am I OK with the fact that NOTHING has been done to address those known issues. I completely agree that this community is becoming highly toxic, but the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the community manager and the devs. 


If they'd simply come out and say, "We can't release the patch until November for [insert BS excuse] and we understand that isn't fair to our customers. So we're refunding everyone who paid for the Charybdis Outpost DLC that is inaccessible (although you'll still be able to play it whenever we get around to fixing it) and we'll think of some way to make up for giving you an unfinished product." That would be fine. But nope. And then they act confused when people aren't happy.

I finally get to 48 and now the game seems to crash all the time. I dont get it, the game worked fine up till now . Now all of a sudden its unstable. Hell it often shuts my console down completely which is NOT COOL!!!! It seems to happen after a level loads before the game starts the level. Sometimes it even shuts my wifi connection off on my xbox forcing me to restart the machine. This is the only game this does it with and I can almost time my watch to it, its so consistent now. Needless to say I now cant play the game I paid for let alone get to Warzone. 

I am pretty upset and I am reticent to even start the game up anymore, who knows what kind of damage this forced shutdown is doing to my console. Its a real shame because I love the game :(

I am in complete agreement. My worry is that all the toxicity is going to kill the game and deter new players from playing. And I understand people being angry but this sort of behavior is not going to lead to a well polished and fun game. So many great games have died and dissapeared because of the entitlement of gamers and threats. I mean I get frustrated as well and I'll play another game for a bit and ill come back to it the next day or a couple days later. And I check the forums allot and this behavior is the reason I ended up not wanting to work in the gaming industry anymore. These guys are working on the game and working to solve the problems and dealing with people threatening them and saying they dont care. The game has its problems but it is not bad enough in my opinion to behave the way iv been seeing people behave.

Agreed, this game is great, I'm having tons of fun with it :) The fact that the community is active asking for support or by doing bug reports is a good thing too. Too many games these days are released bugged as hell and die out of disregard from devs then players.


Still I agree with the fact that a lot of comments are toxic as you say :) I mean I do understand that ppl will be angry when buying full-price a buggy game (I have 4 chars and 4 are stuck due to Harbingers of Hate/Vipers Nest bugs) yet I just play the main char that isn't stuck, and simply play coop or assignment for others 4 ^^ I remember the days when a game came out and you had to pay near 200F (around 30$) to play it, and if it was bugged you'd get stuck forever cuz no updates or patches in the 90's on consoles ;)


I'm not saying it's a normal situation from an editor/dev team, yet it could be much worse !


So keep up the good work devs, game is great and getting better that's all that matters !

I guess some people will never be happy but I think the game is great. I have 5 characters and am thinking of getting the game on PC as well. 3 of my characters got stuck and I restarted the first one and the other 2 are awaiting the patch. The main problem I'm hitting is sometime my character will start walking under the map as if there were a staircase under the floor.  Which is more just annoying then game breaking. But in the rush of toxic feedback you guys are getting I think your doing great and have a great game and I am excited to see where it goes.

Hi there, new bug to report (I guess ?) !


Tried local coop game last night, after the missions (completed) a weird thing happened each time :

- animations for characters to teleport back to the ship occured as normal

- then screen stayed on mission map (with several clones from Hololitic Armor skill still on the map and moving randomly)

- then loading screen to end mission, and no reward screen. The loot obtained during the mission was lost too.


Don't know if it's intended or a bug, never tried local coop before...

If you may not know there are currently 2 issues affecting the campaign progress, one is a crash issue occurring in 2 particular missions and there is a glitch issue where players cannot proceed further in the game. 

The former has to be patched in order to be fixed and the latter can be handled on our backend. Due to the limited information (which has been cleared by a new comment since then) the basic assumption was that these are separate cases.
The Charybdis Outpost DLC matter is also under investigation and naturally will be fixed along with the already known issues while we also work on new stuff to update the game and supply it with new content.

I have been purchasing digital content on the PSN for the past 10 years and I have never had content simply not work. I think the Charybdis DLC should be pulled from the store until it works. How can you knowingly sell something that doesn't work? I am starting to think Sony needs to get involved here.

Again, your answer makes no sense. Vampiricmist and Killyox are reporting the exact same bug on the exact same missions. And yet, your response to one of them is "we ran some scripts that should fix the problem" and the other is told to wait for the patch (that is supposedly already fixed "on your end.") I get it, you're just the community manager and maybe you don't really know, but don't keep coming on the boards and lying to your customers. 


I really, REALLY like this game and have been a supporter from the very beginning. If it weren't for the fact that I can't progress on all 3 characters because of multiple game-breaking bugs, I'd have nothing but good things to say. The gameplay itself is great. But this constant unprofessionalism from community management is seriously hurting your relationship with your players. We know you're a small team, and we're not asking the devs or the publisher to be perfect. Hell, even AAA titles (especially from Bungie and Ubisoft) are just as buggy. Sometimes even worse. But you should learn from their mistakes. Just for example, Destiny wasn't a bad game, but Bungie turned it into a complete dumpster fire by treating their players poorly and by allowing their community manager to lie constantly. It made the community VERY toxic and killed their player base. 


Right now you need every player you can get, but it's almost as if you don't care. The game has been broken since launch on consoles, and yet there is still no patch. You pushed the Charybdis Outpost DLC out, and let people pay for it, even though it's completely inaccessible due to known bugs. And you keep talking about the upcoming content patch in November. But if no one can complete the existing content we'll never be able to access the new stuff. So... enough BS. Stop treating your customers like idiots, tell us what the actual plans are and when we can expect to see improvements. Or you won't have many customers left at all.

Hi, here is my feedback after trying to play the mission Pushing Back The Rebels in Viper's Nest mini campaign.


Previously for my assassin lvl 22, the mission was loading correctly (compared to other players I read from), but the game was crashing during the scene before the inquisitor teleportation on the mission map.

For my Crusader lvl 21, loading, teleportation of crusader on the map : OK, but after moving a little bit on the map, before seeing any ennemy, the game cashes.

Crash : black screen, then blue screen of the PS4 saying error CE-34878-0 occured.


Well, I tested a few minutes ago, and ............... still the exact same behavior of the game with my 2 characters.


So, unfortunatly, the scripts that were run recently didn't have any effect on my 2 stuck characters :(

@VAMPERICMIST‍ the matter has been handled internally a patch will bring the fixes soon!

@KILLYOX69‍ we ran a couple of scripts recently which should have solved the problem. Neither of your character can progress now? Could you please check on it?

@HELLRAISER76‍ may I ask what exactly is the problem with the Multiplayer? Is there any error message?

Unsure if this is the correct spot ta post this.

 But ive been getting a consistant crash on ps4 when doing the 2nd priority mission of vipers den.


 As soon as the mission starts. You get half of the "warp in" animation. Then a black screen.  Following a system crash. - CE-34878-0 


 Other missions work fine, tryed afew others thou wasnt able to finnish one; 1 boss wouldnt stop regenerating Dispite constant damage lol.

Does the patch improve the matchmaking for multiplayer? I've trying for 3 days now to get in a multiplayer mission, without success, after doing 45 missions over the last month and a half....

Wondering this again myself. Still can not use the product I paid for.

Same for me, 3 characters stuck because of story mission bugs.

From the day I bought the game 28/08/2018, I was more stuck, waiting for bugs solutions to unlock my different characters than playing !


Why neocore didn't wait longer to release the game, at least release it when players could enjoy the experience, instead of selling full price what it looks like a beta version ?


It's a real shame because it's a good game, but all those bugs really ruins the experience !


I'm really wondering if i'll continue the game, and if the upcomming patch will be as efficient as it should. I remember the 1st patch which totally ruined the revive function in coop or multiplayer missions.

I hope the next patch will solve bugs without instroducing new ones ^^


This comment might be a bit negative but, as a fan of the WH universe (board games and armies ...), I feel so frustrated !

Is the process of certification the same no matter the severity of the problem? It seems as tho games like Fortnite push through hot fixes and updates on an almost daily basis. I am just curious on how it all works.

Pls can someone fix my cabal im loosing weeks of ranking up,my mate has completly stoped playing because hes fed up of waiting, so for me to rank up the cabal on me own is more tedious when it works 1 week and breaks the next. 6 weeks now and still rank 0 , 159/200 after 6 -7 weeks is a joke. lost another week this week as well!!!

I just bought the Charybdis outpost dlc and it's no where to be found. I've checked the astropath on all characters. I've uninstalled and wiped all data from the PS4 and reinstalled, even reset my licences. I got nuttin.

Hi just to let you know having issues with silence the guns  mode again  on  Nereus 3.     The weather effects etc still work and characters animation while standing still but all sound stops working and the only way to get out of it is to eject disk or turn off the ps4 using the sensors on the actual console.  Controller and the PlayStation logo button to go back to the home screen also stops working. Just thought I’d update you !

I have had no issue now with any other missions ( silence the guns is working fine now )except from harbingers of hate the doomed city. Tried to launch it plenty of times now I just get the game closing due to error message every time .

Happened only on silence the guns missions . The other issue for harbingers of hate only occurs when I try to launch the mission for the doomed city the loading screen appears then after the loading bar is full it literally closesMy game and my ps4 interface gives me an error code. The error message for this is ‘ an error has occurred in the following application (ce - 34878 -0) I did a purge mission today and have had no issues.  These are the only issues I have had with the game but they still persist. I have also reinstalled everything but this hasn’t fixed it.

Is there any message appearing after the Harbringers of Hate mission? 

Does the first issue happen only in Silence the Guns missions? Did you experience it more than once? You haven't encountered any such problem in other missions?
