Can not press play and create new character is gone

I start up the game, skip the intro`s and I end up on an empty screen. the Play button is unclickable.

Here`s a printscreen of the issue I`m dealing with. Hope someone can help me fix this!

Please give the game another try, the servers returned around 20 hours ago and are running normally ever since. (There was an AWS outage which affected our games among many other services).
