Total PC Crash After 30 Mins Play

11

I get a total crash of my PC when playing Martyr. The game crashes and takes the PC with it and it requires a forced reboot.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and on different drives, Updated drivers and windows 10 too. Deleted every folder associated with the game and started a new character. Lowered all the settings and monitored my hardware temp and loads on a second screen and not seen anything that would cause this issue on the hardware side. Before the hotfix i was fine but i cant be certain it is linked to that as i have only played for 4 hours total.... due to the crashes.

I have been as proactive as i can in trying to self fix this issue on my side but im now out of ideas. When the game crashes it does not give any chance for a crash report to be created and sent and i have seen on the Steam forums that this has affected other players too.

Any help is appreciated.

I am running windows 10 (updated)
Intel i7 CPU
16GB RAM
GTX 1080 GPU (driver up to date)

No help? No thoughts from any of the support team?

Try change some of the settings, examples would be like heavy shitting performance settings like shadows, or change the resolution to borderless fullscreen, as that can give a better control over what you want to have on your window, other than that, I cannot help.

Thats what i just got.

Ill give limiting the frame rate a go. I have run it on low and run it on max and it runs great until it has a heart attack.

So i limited the FPS to 60fps in the video settings and have been playing fine for about 2 hours.

Do you monitor your GPU tempreatures? The game tends to melt GPU's.

Yeah i went through all that too. Monitored it on Afterburner until crash and my GPU temp at crash was 62 deg which is fine. Load was fairly light too.

When it first ever happened my first thought was the GPU had overheated but it wasn't the case.

Another alternative to limit FPS is to use nVidia Inspector, for me using the 60 fps limit on the settings caps at 54 fps without V-sync on, through Inspector I get 60 fps.

That´s just strange. Have played this for around 7 hours, and haven´t had 1 single problem with my game.

That's not strange this happens a lot ^^. Random people have random problems on the same hardware. I worked in SMT plant and every board we built had different problems if any even if we used the same technique to build them and the same parts.

Well, at least I have not had any trouble of any kind yet anyways. And I am having a less powerful machine than he has.

But surely I too can run into trouble with the game laters. Only time will show.
