this...I think it should be like... an iced lake? But no more lake, and everyone is like walking in the midair.

I've had this occur several times as well, specifically the open-area ice maps.

Yeah that's a frozen lake for me. I've never had that one, but I still get the old bug where sometimes explosions blow holes in the map.
