Seasons and the story campaign

9

If the team's intention is to continue with seasonal events, with the current role the campaign plays in it, Id like to suggest two options.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) A complete rework of the story campaign.

- Overall difficulty options similar to diablos Nightmare modes. (I went into more detail on another post)

- Story maps must be handmade (not procedural generated copys of every other map).

- Enemy placement and amounts should be tuned to match the urgency of each mission.

- Boss encounters or fights against story centric enemies need to have there own room, where the fights can be turned into a challenge, and be impressive. Boss fights are anti-climatic, and most named or story centric enemies , are just as challenging and die in the same way as any other enemy in the game does. The lack of any challenge or sense of reward makes completing the campaign tedious as its just more work to do, rather than a fun adventure.

- Any enemy that is considered a major encounter should have its loot drops increased in order to make it worthwhile. Most drop the same random junk that basic enemies do.

- This should make campaign worth replaying even during season, and allow you to add an option to restart it on completion.

2) Remove need to complete campaign each new season

- Option to skip campaign. Starts at level 5 with all npcs on bridge unlocked.

- Since completing the campaign missions is required to unlock morality(at an acceptable pace), a small mission arch centered around the seasons theme, would be a better option. Think of a small expansion/dlc. This will also let you build upon the story, and if possible, tie in season mission archs to the campaign story. And you can unlock morality without having to do the whole campaign. Most complaints from people playing on normal during season, is that they have to replay the campaign, to unlock npcs/morality.

- The seasonal mission arches, can also introduce you to the season mechanics, in some lore/story related way, and give a seasonal cosmetic reward/pet for completion. Archeotech grade season gear can be awarded upon completion of missions, one piece of gear per mission with minimal enchants so its just a taste.

- At the moment seasonal missions kind of do this. But they serve no purpose other than better chance for chests, when they could be used to introduce the seasonal boss and new mechanics/challenges, and some underlying story.

Boss Encounters or fights against story centric enemies. This is also known as something titled Boss Mode. It is the same thing.

And it is one of the things I suggested for them already a long time ago. Among many, many other things.

But your suggestions will get noted, and given to the correct Team, and then your Suggetions/Ideas will be at least read and be put in among the other gigantic tons of bundles of Suggetions and Ideas from others through a long time.

Some may be used, some will be used, some have been used, and some shall be used, some remains being used.

Yeah I've tried reading thru some of your posts. But they are just rants, you getting angry, pretty much calling the developers idiots, making claims about how you could program this in 5 minutes, and false claims that friends and people you know, don't wanna play the game because of very specific bugs that only bother you. And that's not including the ones where you're condescending to other players.

I'm sorry if you feel like the developers/community don't pay attention to your comments/suggestions. At the end of the day that's your fault, your posts sound like the rants of an entitled child having a tantrum.

Maybe if you tried suggesting things in a different manner, the developers and the community would participate in your discussions.

Ok.

1. Show me where I call the Devs actual Idiots, please.

2. Ok, where is this thing I could program in 5 mts? Only thing I claim to be near called that, is in a post where I think it is a shame that a BRILLIANT IDEA and SUGGESTION have not yet been implemented that was actually suggested about 2 yrs ago. And that a Programming session shouldn´t really take that long to actually implement the specific programming commando to actually make that in-game thing to happen.

3. And you say bugs ONLY bothering me? No, actually if you bothered to read what I maim at, you would see this is bugs that has the potential and HAVE the ability to actually ruining your entire gaming process in some cases if you´re not paying attention, and it is also annoying bugs that has been around for far too long. I know the Devs are working on this, but can you also understand the reason for me being like I am when some of these bugs I mention is actually been around for (more then 2 yrs now), and STILL they work on it. Do you truly think I AM the only one who isn´t bothered by this?

And you actually took it as a bad sign what I wrote in my last post here, but am only stating a fact, and I´m not in any way against your suggestions. Those are nice suggestions, I never said anything else. You as me are just among the plenty who have and have given Ideas and Suggestions. I´m sure the Devs is having 1000+ pages long of great Suggestions and ideas. So your Suggestions/Ideas is going into that Book along with ALL the other from ALL the other Players. It is just me stating a fact, but sorry for me saying it like I did.

And then there is you coming with all these Cosmetics things of yours, which you again find it annoying of me to be somewhat against. No, I´m not against Cosmetics as such. I find some Cosmetics fun and great, but I am against too much of it, because indeed it IS too much around of it. And I would find it much better for the Devs to actually make some serious in-game useable things and other things that actually gives the game Content, far more important than some Cosmetics.

I´m also saying these things because of the fact I want and I wish to see the Neocore Team think not only inside the box, but outside the box as well, and even implement new things/mechanics into this game rarely and never been seen before in other games. At the same time I do not wish to see Neocore walk into the same darn traps that some other Companes/Games have gone into.

So Rayata, I guess you do have some hours into this game by now? Are you nearing that 100 hr Mark, or even perhaps chiming in on that 150 hr mark? And you are excited about this game too I reckon. You even played it for a good 2-4 months even?!

Well, I am too, indeed. And I am one of those Players who is actually having around 2000 Hrs in total Playtime of Inquisitor - Martyr so far.

And as a Player of such long I wish to see the game actually grow.

And you Rayata is wishing to see and would buy the Colour Space Marine Magenta Blue available as a DLC and costs $2 I guess. Aren´t you? No, I don´t think you would, but you may know what I mean.

But I guess, this is what they call me just "Ranting".

Ok, I give up. I see you are new to this game, so... .

If playtime is the only excuse you can find to invalidate other peoples suggestions and arguments....

- Yeah im new.

- I started playing 63 days ago.

- I have 643 hours of playtime so far.

You have 2000+ and have been around for 3 years and 167 days according to your profile. Lets say half of that time was spent playing WH40k.

- Thats 1 year and 83.5 days to add up to 2000+ hours.

- There are 12 months in a year and 83.5 days is roughly 3 months, that means you achieved 2000 hours in roughly 15 months. Or 39 months if your counting since you created your forum account.

Now do the math.

- Divide 15 months(or the 39) by the 3 months I've been playing and multiply that by my total of hours.

- Compare your playtime to mine.

At my current rate versus yours, in a couple of months I will surpass you, so you better start playing harder, because on every other post you make, you boast about how much you've played, and how that makes you right and everybody else wrong.

You say Invalidate other peoples suggestions and arguments. And then some.

That is one lowballed and way behinf goal line, that goes to show that you just don´t get it, but ok. Fine, I take it.

I just hope for the sake of Inquisitor - Martyr itself in the long-run and the playing base in the big picture, everything goes well and even better.

I agree with the boss fights.  And basically all of point 2.

But, the difficulty slider that's already there is perfectly fine and works with the way they wanted to design the game.

That being said, I do despise having to play the campaign on every single character.. Once per season should be enough.  Tie progress to the account not the character.  And implement a NOT garbage way of farming morality.  Most other complaints I have about this game being built on the backs of dozens of other ARPG's and yet not taking the best features of basically any of them would be massively under desired by those 2 things alone.

There is not even a single map which was procedurally made, I can guarantee that. Our designers built these maps with our own hands (well, not literally with their hands). ^^

The story missions will not be touched upon. This is 100%. Balance-wise there can be changes as we did so over the last 3 years but that's the most the community can expect. However, I can see a scenario where the boss fights are overviewed and changed to be more unique. But our office-Roadmap has no room for such changes, let's say, for the next 6 months at least. I will still bring it up since I support the idea.

The 2nd point is something I agree with personally, but the final decision is in the hands of our Endgame team. I will have a word with them about it.
