NACON and NeocoreGames announce today that

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Ultimate Edition for PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series S|X launches OCTOBER 27, 2022, alongside enhanced features including all 25, previously released DLCs.

These features include the following:

  • Native 4k support (4K on PS5 & XSX, 2K on XSS)
  • Higher resolution textures
  • Improved destruction physics
  • Improved shadows
  • Cross-gen multiplayer & cross-progression
  • DualSense controller support on PlayStation 5 with Haptic feedback
  • Adaptive triggers support for DualSense - coming shortly after release

The new playable class, announced back in 2021, is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S|X consoles as a DLC at a later date. The new Sororitas Class -an Inquisitor with a Sister of Battle background - will bring new mechanics and item types to Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr as well.

You are an Inquisitor, one of the most powerful agents of the Imperium. You operate in the Caligari Sector, a region overrun with heretics, mutants and Daemons of Chaos.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, the first action RPG to be set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, features both fast-paced and tactical combat, featuring multiple classes of the Inquisition who carry out the Emperor's will. From destructible environments and a cover-based combat system, to skill trees and a wide range of vehicles and weapons, the game offers a truly unique experience. The game is also set in a persistent universe, which boasts incredible replay value thanks to its size and a procedurally generated mission system.

Brutalize Chaos as a Crusader, summon deadly constructs as a Tech-Adept, take down abominations with guile and agility as an Assassin or fight fire with fire playing as a Psyker. In single player, two-player local co-op (exclusively on consoles) or four-player online multiplayer, you must enforce the will of the Emperor and cleanse the darkest sectors of the Imperium of heresy.

Seasonal Closure on PS4 and XboxOne

Season of the Void Brethren became the longest-running Season over the last year but it's time to end its marathon. We officially announce the closure of Inquisitor's 3rd Season both on PS4 and XboxOne. Players have 1 week left to finish up all the objectives of the ongoing Season as it will end on 12 October.

The end of Season 3 can mean only one thing: the arrival of Season of the Emyprean Echoes to both platforms. The release date of Season 4 will be announced on the upcoming weeks but it's not far away!

Until then, finish your remaining objectives, acquire every loot possible and pile up your resources as you will need them all in Season 4!

The Emperor Protects.

According to what I saw from Nacon, they won't have any digital pre-orders.  It will appear on the store on launch day.

I will try to be both positive and realistic here. I love the game, been playing a little over two years. THAT being said, I have little confidence in your ability to give us what we want. The game on console(Xbox) has had ongoing issues both big and small. "We will fix them in the next update" ... several months later... "we will be fixing that in the next update". Always the same, like this recent update near the end of the 'YEAR of the Void Brethren'. The season finish was delayed more than six months with nothing more than a vague promise that you were working on something and a teaser about the new Sororita class coming out. Over six months later 'Season of the Void Brethren', OOPS I mean the 'YEAR OF THE VOID BRETHREN' is still ongoing. A minor update that did nothing appreciable and completely messed up consumables. Even now the description still says that they are supposed to work for 5 missions. But, this is the sort of sloppy work I have come to expect. The store times to select and sell items were increased drastically, as was the time required to even check the leader-boards. The store times seem to have gone back to normal with the end of the season, oops, YEAR..... but the leader boards are still extremely slow post season. Not only that, they are not functioning properly. The system influence totals from YEAR were only added into the leaderboard amounts, but... here it comes... now, no new system influence is adding into the totals. I ran almost two dozen missions in one system and the grand total never increased. On a positive note, the Glory board seems to be functioning properly. I guess what I am trying to imply is that you guys are less interested in fixing issues for us console players, than you are in trying to find a way to re-sell us the same product....

Any clue when the Ultimate Edition will go live on the PSN store?  Will it be available for preorder or only up on the release date?

Sooooo..., I have finished the story mode of 40k Martyr. Downloaded the dlc Charybdis. Have restarted & still can't see it. Is it only for a certain class, or level? If so, how's about staying that in the game description!!! Have I missed something?

It would be okay when we pay 10$ for the upgrade but 30$+ is too much....

Official announcement from the team & Nacon

Inquisitors,

thank you for your feedback regarding the recently announced Ultimate Edition for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. We heard you loud and clear, and we feel that this is an important issue to address.Following the concerns you shared, we didn't want to forget your dedication to our game and thus, after discussing the matter with Nacon, the game's console publisher, have decided that all the owners of Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will receive a permanent 50% discount when purchasing the Ultimate Edition on PS5 and XSX|S.

The PS5 version will get a separate Trophy set, but the Xbox Series version won't, that will use the achievement list jointly with the Xbox One version.

So we'll have to pay full price to play the game on next gen. But it states cross-progession which I assume means Xbox One to Series X/S as well as P$4 to P$5. What about Achievements and Trophies? If we're paying for a new generation of the game, Will it have a seperate Acachievement and Trophy List?

Imyself have already writen this game off after almost a year of after a release of little to no support with the many issues this game had. I hd renew excitement upon Sister announcement but to no avail after several months of no details. Now we hear that we have to purchase, I'm assuming 69.99 U$D,  a NEW edition not just a core game upgrde to even have the chance to play the Sister of Battle Inquisitor.

With the current support team I see them messing up some file somewhere Requiring the Series S\X  or P$5 upgrade IF you have a Next Generation cause that how games work nowdays

Hi,

If we have the game on ps4 with all the expansions and we already play it on ps5, will we have to pay for the game again?
