The first item on the Master Tier checklist complete Warzone lvl 50 doesn't trigger, my char has cleared it, that and more but it still hasn't resolved.

It looks like Marco already answered you on Discord, but I'm leaving this here for other people that may stumble upon it. You are definitely not the first person to interpret that objective in this way. It really probably should've been written more clearly.

The seasonal objective is to complete a certain number of warzone missions, 50, 70, then finally all 110 missions. The level of those missions is independent of that number, so you still need to complete 50/70/110 of them to get credit.

The quote that Marco added in discord was:

Marcopolocs: The description will get changed it can be misleading - the objective is to complete the first 50 Warzone stages

...the 50th Battle needs to be completed yes.

OP had completed 27 warzone missions which brought them to about level 62.

Just to be clear, you've cleared at least 50 warzone missions, not just a warzone mission of level 50 or higher? Warzone missions are numbered (if you hover over them, the tooltip will display which number it is), and the objectives are for the 50th, 80th, and 110th warzones.

You may already know this and hit a bug. Just checking.

I've cleared Warzone levels 50 till 62 I memory serves. I haven't cleared 50 levels of warzones as that would have me at lvl 100 Warzone. Also there is a check at lvl 70 Warzone lvl if I remember correctly.
