[PC] Martyr crashing during load after Character selection.

5

As the tile says, when I chose any of my existing Characters, hit the play button, the game starts to load, gets about halfway through & throws up an error message stating the game has crashed & that it's being reported.
This started yesterday, but immediately after the large update the other day it was fine. So it's kind of coming out of the blue over night.
Nothing obvious has changed at my end t& this mornings Hotfix hasn't sorted it.
I have verified the games cache through steam to no avail.
No idea what is going on, but would be glad of any assistance please?

Hi,

so you mean it still crashes whenever you choose any of your characters? Would you please give your account name to us? We will check on it!

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Yes, once I have made my character selection, and it happens with any of them,  I hit the 'Play' button & it crashes around half to 3/4 of the way through the following load screen with the following error: "The game has crashed. This issue is going to be reported"

Account name is the same  - PHRAETUS

Log file shows an error, but it means little to me, pretty much this over & over in the Warhammer.txt.

If I create a new character & start from scratch, I can do the very first mission & then it crashes with the same error during the load screen at the end.

As we checked on the matter the problem seems to relate to your AMD driver. Please update your driver, but in case it has the newest version, install an older version. This should solve the matter.

Thank you, turns out it was my own fault.

I updated the drivers, no change.
Every time I update my drivers I have to go into the Registry to make changes to enable Crossfire on my 7990, which got me thinking...
I'd been messing around with Game Profile settings the other night and appear to have set Martyr's profile to force Crossfire mode., rather than default.

Sorry to have wasted your time, working fine again now.
