I have repeatedly and successfully completed the Purge style mission that the old dude in the station keeps asking me to do, but it's the same mission over and over. I purge the whole level easily, end the mission, puts me back in the Command Bridge, so I go back to the system the station is in and the old man acts like it's the first time I've ever been there. I have tried doing this both from the Mission Panel and directly from the Starmap to launch the mission, both end up the same - I beat the mission, return to find nothing changed.

Am I doing something wrong here? I thought it was supposed to be a series of missions or something, but the same one over and over doesn't seem right. What am I doing wrong here? Game is Martyr on Steam, most of the DLC installed. My system FAR exceeds recommended requirements, so is not a compatibility issue of any kind, and the game is 100% stable in every other way than this "bug" I've run into.

Edit: I should add this problem has persisted since 1.3.3 and 2.0 has not changed anything on this issue.
