Apparently the item disappearing bug has been going on for a bit I just had my first case of it.  After spending a handful of credits rolling for my preferred stats and fusing to max out my first relic Lazgun I had been grinding for using several of the boost your relic drop chance enchants, it disappeared upon entry to my very next map. Only the weapon from my main loadout disappeared and it was a tarot mission.
