electric (heat) sword and skilltree?

so im currently playing around with the arc sword and noticed it was heat dmg so i looked in the heat tree and noticed something

there are skills the depends on the heat meter... but the sword dosent have one... so do those skills work with the arc sword?

and what about the regular heat skills do they work with the arc sword?

My best guess: Everything that's says +xyz% heat damage will work, everything that requires an Overheat bar won't.
