If I throw a frag grenade and it lands out of camera, for differing reasons, the grenade is expanded but has no effect.
Earlier I thought I it was a design feature because the grenade was disappearing down a shaft. However, in the picture below I threw the grenade, but pulled back whilst it was in flight and, the impact point was obscured by the doorway 'above'.
