Details about the End of Season
Warhammer 40K NewsFellow Inquisitors,
The end of the Season is closing in on us, and with it, it is time to clear up all the questions about the future of your Seasonal characters. Plus, the upcoming, new Season for Inquisitor is in the testing phase already, so you'll find a sneak peek of the new adventures that the Endgame team has in stock for you for the second Season.
First of all, after the Season of the Inferno ends, there will be roughly a two-week period to allow players to sort out their merged gear and characters.
Seasonal characters will simply become non-seasonal, regular characters, so you will be able to keep playing them. The items you have on your characters, stash, and inventory will be also transferred over to non-season. Seasonal items with special names and enchants will remain - you might find some use to their special enchants during upcoming events!
There are several Seasonal mechanics tied to the Seasonal Journey and the Objectives in it - those rewards tied to the Journey will not be carried over, such as the Store discount bonuses. However, the remaining Inferno Shards that your character might have, albeit not dropping anymore (you can still forge them), will be carried through into non-season.
Currencies like Favor, Credits, and Fate will be simply merged into non-season. It is time to buy all that extra stuff with the goods you have earned! Crafting materials such as Sparks of Glory will be merged as well. Speaking of crafting, your blueprint charges on Seasonal characters should add up to your non-seasonal charges, up to the allowed maximum. All your unlocked blueprints, and Inoculator unlocks should be carried over safely as well.
Aside of items and crafting, Campaign and assignment progress is going to be carried over as well, of course, along with Ordo and Influence unlocks. Your Heroic Deeds that you have unlocked on your Seasonal Inquisitor should now be unlocked on your regular characters. Heroic Deed progress should be carried over and added to your existing progress, so you may get some additional unlocks!
Tarot Card progress should work in a bit different way: The player will receive tarot cards equaling the amount spent on upgrades during the Season. Tarot Seals will simply be carried over and merged into non-Season.
Your active missions on your characters should remain so, such as Intels and Void Crusades.
When this all happens, there should be a longer maintenance period so we can ensure that everything is transferred over correctly. After this period ends, there will be roughly two weeks of inter-Seasonal time so you can freely sort out your characters and stash.
And most importantly, stay tuned for some upcoming news about Inquisitor's new Season!

Nice. I wonder what next Season's theme will be. Hmm
Can we have this seasons items implemented in base game? They could drop at endgame and wont intrude with current leveling in new season etc.
So that will game eventually will grow over time.
Looking really forward for second season.

On one hand I agree with you and it is nice to have Seaons that feel Unique. Also implementing Season items into the base game will eventually (after a few seasons) cause a mess because of too many items diluting the loot pool, lots of different mechanics to keep track of etc etc.
On the other hand, those items will exist in the base game for players who participated in seasons and they might result in some very strong interactions in the future that will not be obtainable any more. If/When this happens, not only will this encourage hoarding, but it will also cause a feeling of being left out to those who either didn't participate/go too far into a season or who didn't hoard their seasonal items.
This might not be much of a problem currently since most Inferno Items rely on the seasonal buff to work (you can't consistenly apply Inferno without the seasonal buff with just 2 exceptions), but after season of the Warp Surge ends there can be a problem since it introduces more "generalist" items. There is for example a synergy between 2 new items, Hell's Gullet and Refugee's Wail, and ofc there is synergy with them and existing enchants/mechanics.
Besides, isn't it quite disheartening to do all that work for season items and mechanics only to have them "deleted" after a few months?
What I propose for the future is to have some sort of Inferno Token and Warp Surge Token that can be unlocked after a certain level which can be activated before missions (similar to how Tarrot Cards are used for example) or via the character screen (similar to how perks work) which allows the player to use and drop Inferno or Warp Surge Items respectively. Only one token can be active at a time .
Maybe tokens or some limited access where you can hunt these items if you desired.
Otherwise there would be a little mess when the two storage pools begin to merge.
Still, for the sake of uniqueness, I doubt whether it would be sufficient to only require levelling of the character.
I guess It would be a little tricky to set the access price for these special maps. But yes, it worths a try.
Wednesday is the last day on which Inferno will be accessible. The merge will start on Thursday morning!
UPDATE
Inquisitors,
the maintenance just ended on PC and we successfully merged everyone's seasonal stuff into the non-seasonal database. We are pretty sure - and our internal tests confirmed - that the merging properly took place without any kind of problem however if anyone notices something which is missing on his account please let us know - here or at [email protected] - and we will immediately look into the case.
Thank you everyone who joined us in Inquisitor's first Season. See you in Season 2!
