Can you make standard bearers less annoying?

4

Hi,

I have been playing the game quite a while now and I found standard bearers the most frustrating enemy in the game. Mainly its regen and standard spam. It's not a challenge it just prolongs the fight unecesairly. Now I am not sure if there's a way to stop the regen and I tried few different things: CC and few different type of weapons and none worked. Regen seems to stop randomly. My proposed solution:

Standards - restrict them to two and put a cooldown on them(20-30 seconds?). It's hard to aim when the room is spammed with heretical banners. Maybe make AI place them on allies since they probably buff them(?)

Regen - a) make CC stop the regen for few seconds, b) make some type of weapons(melta guns or simply dots) stop the regen or c) simply nerf the regen rate(not my first solution I would rather have you give us means to counter it)

Master of the Forge

try to use another weapon, they are easy frags as any other current version enemy mob

gravigun for example, using both LMB and RMB attacks

I once spent over 20 minutes fighting the same stantard bearer, until it finally stopped regenerating, and I, with my three Tarantulas, could finally actually kill it. They really need some rebalancing.

The granade launcher guys usually give me more trouble, but the standard guys are also annoying and it would be nice if they had a cooldown the way you were saying.

Yes  Havok marines are a PITA  but have you tried to fight a room with 2 or more standard barrers it is a impossible stream of nurglings.
